Meh! Out of the blue our flatmates have decided to move out so now I have to find a flat deposit and our rent is going to go up... I thought I was going to pay off my CC by the middle of August and now it's looking like early October. Changing my spreadsheet it now looks like I'll not be debt free this year (when it was supposed to be October).

I know I'm just being a drama queen and I'm going to change tactic and start trying to sell things but it just knocks you for six! I promise I'll be a lot more positive next week.

Just a small £50 towards the CC today:

    #050 £2467 / £4544 (54.3%)

Total debt at LBM = £4861.03

    DFBXmas2018 #91 - £3342 / £3500 (95.4%)

HTB ISA - £0 withdrawn for house purchase! :D
    Wedding Fund £2550 / £5000

I've been really struggling this month, although my debt total is going down, i'm back to paying minimum totals as i've got a lot going on at the moment. I go between thinking sod it, let's have a blow out, to really wanting to debt free . Thankfully really wanting to be debt free is winning.

  • Hello everyone, me again.

Its payday so I've done another small transfer until I can budget for the month.

    £57.44 over-payment to Loan 2 today.

This brings my current total to - £928.55

Wow go me, nearly at the £1,000 mark.

Well done everyone else, really good work here.

    Another day, another payment!

Loan 1 of £307.41 came out on Friday so that brings my total to

    £1,235.96

It feels great to get over that £1,000 barrier.

    Well done so far everyone.

Borrowing £200 off my farther to pay off 2 debts early and hopefully cancel out over £100 of interest but paying it back within 2 weeks. Will update on Tuesday with another payment. Hoping this will give me the extra boost of motivation I need to drop my figures

  • Hi - is there anyway that I can join the challenge?

I have a loan that I borrowed off my dad many years ago that I really want to have paid up by end of the year.

I already pay him a large amount of money each month but I am hoping to make as many extra payments as possible.

The total amount I owe him as of today is £8,518.98 . I do pay him interest so by paying extra I am hoping to knock approx. 9 months off.....

    Thanks for letting me join
