I got 4 numbers on the lottery on Saturday which was worth £70 so it's gone towards my credit card bill so my new totals are:

    SPC #229= £103.76(2014)
    VSP #11 = £74.11(2014) £85.55 (2015)
    Crazy Clothes Challenge 2014 £33/£100, 2015 £44 / £100
    DFBXmas2015 #10 £3000 / £3,000 (100%) :j

    Morning all!

Been recovering from our Egypt trip. Some fantastic diving with the club, and some terrible stomachs too! In fact, they nearly quarantined us, I kid you not. On the plus side, we only spent £220 of our expected £380 spending money, so £160 can go back into the debt payments. :j

Back to reality, and our landlady has decided to sell up. What that means for us is having to find a deposit for a new tenancy until we're in a position to buy. We don't have a deposit with the current house, so it's money we have to find. It would be less stressful if the rental stock around here wasn't so abysmal and overpriced. This may get annoying! Grumble grumble.

As for everyone else, I'll try and find time to run an update tomorrow afternoon, but if not it'll be Monday morning. Well done everyone, we're half way there!

Glad the diving was good and sorry to hear about stomach problems - hope you've fully got over it now!

Shame about your home - hope you can find something suitable - how much time have you got to find somewhere to live?

    Morning all.

So with only one debt left to parents £5000, I have already got £915.71 towards it. This means I already have 18% ready to convert to Euros. Think the next 6 months are going to feel like a slog. Have found it hard to be frugal knowing I have an amount of money in my account but not using it. Roll On December so I can see their faces when I hand it over.

Its a debt that has been outstanding for a long time but they have never asked for it back and I think assumed it was gone forever. Thats not the point though... Need to clear it as I am sure they will put it to good use.

    Have a great week

Morning all. Great day here. Just checked online banking and the minimum payment has gone out for the loan leaving a balance of £33.41 so I paid that off :j I've rang them to check and they confirm that the loan is now paid off 44 months early :T

Thank you to everyone on this thread for their encouragement and positivity.

Only six days late, but here's the June total. Well, we were due a quiet month after 5 straight months of massive totals :rotfl: Regardless, between us we paid a total of...

    £23,376.11

...which, when you look at it, is only around £4k less than last year. Year to date, we're still over £57,000 ahead of the total we set in 2014, so well done everybody!

Keep it up. It will feel like it's dragging sometimes, and this is when it's dangerous... it's easy to give up. Keep determined, keep sight of why you set off on this little challenge (little?!), and keep making those payments.

Thanks Rachie, still not quite right, but definitely much better now. They haven't given us our notice yet, so a minimum of two months. I think if we see something we like we're going to get out as soon as we can anyway. It's not nice being in limbo.

I just updated my mortgage free wannabe thread and updated my signature. Scary how much I owe to the banks for a roof over our heads.
