Pablosammy wrote: »Hi PP. Sorry to hear things haven't been going so smoothly. I've had something very similar in the last few weeks, and my OH has really noticed it too. It's scary how perceptive they can be some times! :rotfl: That's really good of her to help you out - I don't normally like family loans, but it does help you pay it off more quickly, and she gets a happy partner at the end. Keep the chin up :T
Well I already feel better to some degree - I hated taking the money and I only accepted it after some debating with her. It wasn't until she brought up that we want to buy a house so it helps her out too in the long run that I caved and took it. I'm a firm believer that its my mess and I will fix it but the lack of interest going forward means I can pay her back over 8 months and live a little more comfortably in the meantime - not by much but it means if I forget my lunch at work I can buy a butty without having to go through my spreadsheets and hating myself for it!
But on the plus side, everything is paid off now except for the money I owe her and one final loan payment due on payday (I cant pay off early and Id save nothing by doing so now its the last payment) so as of now I can really kickstart this going forward. And all my loose change can go into my Las Vegas 30th birthday fund :T£2 savers club #54 Current total - £86

Been a lil down, things don't seem to be moving quick enough but I know I will get there eventually. I have an on the job evaluation on Thursday and handed in a cv for another full time job today so hopefully things will go my way fairly soon. Have to find £300 to put a new clutch on my car as a precaution before it finally goes to. But I'm keeping the faith.Debt free in 2016. /£2935

Evening all!
Further to my last message about my change of job... Work have accidentally paid me for the shift I used to work - which I wasn't expecting! They'll take it back next month, but by then I'll be getting paid my new shift allowance so they have effectively smoothed out the transition for me. This basically means that all the shares I sold are now just a bonus payment off my debt. It also means I can now add another payment of £744.98 off my debt. This means CC1 is now fully cleared, and brings my total to;
#75 £4419.87/£18624.98
Worth pointing out now that as all my debt is at 0% I'm only making minimum payments off my debt and holding the money in 5% current accounts earning interest until my 0% runs out. YNAB makes this easy - plus I can see the interest earned actually come off my other debts as well. :beer:0 -
Well done everyone. Just a quick update from me.
