I make a lovely non-alcoholic mulled wine each Christmas for the drivers - Sainsbury's do a lovely non-alcoholic red wine which I use to make it. Tastes just like the real thing.

    *goes back to lurking*

That sounds tastey. Someone bought me a non - alcoholic white wine when I visited their house (everyone else was drinking) but I was still in my nauseous stage which put me off. Will need to try the red with spices, yum yum.
  • Hi folks, sorry been awol for a few weeks, that’s us moved house now and it really went well all things considering, exhausting though! Already feels like a good move though for the whole family so that’s nice

I am 18 weeks and 2 days…have an antenatal app on thurs and scan in few weeks…starting to feel a lot better, not as tired, not as sicky, and managing to eat a bit better. No clothes are fitting over my boobs LOL - shape has changed kind of rounded waist now

    Hope your all doing well!?

    Afternoon all :)
It's a bit quiet on here isn't it! I keep meaning to post but don't really have anything to update, seem to be in that boring middle period! Sickness has passed, but not feeling any movements yet, getting a bit impatient! I'm still really tired, struggling to stay awake in the evenings. We haven't found anywhere to move to yet, the place we saw on Friday was grim. Another viewing booked tomorrow though, so fingers crossed that's the one :)

We need to move before this time next year for school applications, so we've decided it would be easier to do before March! Not in a rush though, so we can wait for the right place :)

  • Hi everyone, been a bit AWOL over the last couple of weeks - work has been mad busy (I work at a uni and fresher's week was a bit ). Glad the move went well niptuckfan and hope everyone else is getting on okay too :) I'm 25 weeks today so I'm going to tentatively step over to the next forum - see you all soon! xxx

    Hi ladies,

All quiet here too, nothing much to report! Sickness has mostly gone, just have the odd day of feeling a bit nauseous but nothing too extreme, thankfully! Tiredness seems to have gone too, but I wouldn't say I've ever reached the 'glowing' stage that people keep going on about!! Had my flu jab a few days ago and that made me feel a bit rubbish too for about 24 hours afterwards.

Got my next scan on Monday (quite early, as I'll only be 18+4) so looking forward to that - only seems like 5 minutes ago I was having my first scan! (although that was quite late as I was 13+1 so it hasn't been a very long gap between them).

Then once we know whether it's a boy or a girl, I'll start doing some shopping - not going to go mad on the gender stereotyping but will be nice to get some blue or pink things!! I'm going to the Manchester baby and toddler event with my mum the day before the scan so might buy a few neutral things there...
  • Bean83 theres no glowing at my end either LOL....or if there is its heartburn hahaha!

we arent finding out the sex and seem to be in the minority, this baby will be our only one as OH has son from previous relationship so i figured nice to wait for the surprise.

have any of you been to Jack and Jill markets? i went couple weeks ago didnt buy anything but was amazed the amount of lovely stuff and fraction of the price ...sure i will be there with newborn getting the bargains

We're not finding out either *niptuckfan*, we didn't with DD either. Most of our newborn/0-3 is neutral or bright colours, so will be able to use it no matter what :) We got some great bargains at NCT nearly new sales last time, but we don't really need anything this time so I'm staying away!
