  • Eek scan day!! Appointment isnt until 3 though  dd (10) is coming with us, and ds who's 2 in a couple of weeks in staying with my mother in law. Im really worried that there'll be something wrong and dd will be there, but she came last time, and expects to come this time too.

Saffagal - my last pregnancy was summer, as ds was born sept, so most of my clothes arnt any good, or will be hidden under a jumper at least by the end. Im going to have to invest in some warmer clothes this time, got a feeling thats going to cost me though!

I can feel baby this morning by my belly button, actual bone feeling, its the first time ive been able to touch the baby rather than feeling wriggles or movement, it feels like a bony arm or leg :)
Still here..... but working on that!

I hope it all goes well littleskint dragon.

It appears that at some point on Saturday I was punched repeatedly in the right kidney - I'm in agony, no idea what has caused it. Standing and walking are fine but sitting and lying down are painful, which has made the last 2 nights of sleep really great, not!

Why won't you need the stuff saffagirl?

Heard the heartbeat today at the midwife appointment, great to know it's still in there. It''s weird how much love I have a for tiny human I can't see or really feel!
  • That does not sound fun rambosmum! Hearing the heartbeat is amazing.

Good luck littleskintdragon. Let us know how you get on.

Scans sound amazing pink shoes and hi everyone!

Bye jwil. See you on the other thread soon!

Snowball. Sorry to hear little one has talipes, but as you said, there is a lot that can be done.

As for me, not much to report. Still no movement, but trousers are definitely too tight now, so have ordered some maternity jeans now. Midwife appointment tomorrow morning, then two more weeks until my scan. Scanxiety is starting to kick in already.

Not long for your scan now littleskint dragon!

And pinkshoes yep, huge knickers are already on my essentials list :o

Had a bit of a rough day yesterday, low energy and some very low pelvic pain. The pelvic pain is bothering me, not sure if it's SPD, or pressure from the way the baby is lying or even a water infection? It's fine if I'm lying or sitting down, but if it continues this week I'll have to phone the midwife I think?!

Still getting lots of wiggles just under my belly button, possibly others too, which I'm not picking up properly yet? Bump has definitely grown over the last few days too! :)
  • Thanks ladies, on the way to the hospital now because my grandads in there so i thought we'd do visiting and then scan!

Getting very worried now, dd decided she didnt want to come so that's one thing less to worry about. I'll update when we're out

  • Enjoy your scan littleskintdragon, it is an amazing experience.

Congrats pinkshoes and hieveryone on scans too :)

I've had to buy some more maternity/nursing bras today as gone up another size, plus the rest of DS's school uniform and a present for his friend's birthday party, so today has been rather an expensive day!
Still need to get his shoes but will wait until after pay day. Glad I went today as there wasn't a huge amount in his size.

22 weeks today, seems to be going fairly quickly now. I have been scaring myself a bit by watching OBEM. I had forceps last time so hoping I don't need this again, but my biggest fear is a C-section  I really don't want another epidural either, as had to have one last time, and it makes my palms start to sweat when I think about it. I'm OK with needles otherwise, just hate the idea of it in my back, and having it before doesn't make me feel less worried!!

OMG i need to do some bra shopping too. My boobs are HUGE and I look ridiculous!

Thankfully I have some old bras from when I was a slightly larger clothes size, but didnt fancy trying bras in or getting remeasured with DS around -he loves flinging the changing room doors open!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • I had a lieu day off work so thought I'd take advantage of being on my own :rotfl:

Sorry rambosmum, was looking through the mat clothes I have from last time to see if I need any new things or can get away with reusing them all again. DD was born in April, so pretty much everything can be reused... I really fancied treating myself to a couple of bits but actually, all I need is some new bras. Might make more sense to wait and treat myself to a few more nursing tops

Hope that your scan went well littleskintdragon

Lol trying to shop for clothes for yourself with a small person in tow is not something I will do - even if I was being paid to do so! If I get clothes for me, I order online so can try on at home, once dd is in bed!
  • All ok at the scan! Phew. We got about 10 photos too, including a really cute one of babys feet :)
