Glad they're keeping an eye on you.
People keep asking me if I feel pregnant now (I do have a bump although to me it's just bloat cos I know it vanishes when I lie down) but I don't. ATM I'm nervous for the next scan, but just because of it's purpose, if all goes well then I think (hope?) I'll be able to properly relax & enjoy. And hopefully some proper baby kicks will start and I'll actually 'feel' pregnant!
I can be a little aloof at times so only people I'm very close to have gone for a bump touch, although I'm still surprised that they give me no warning! I don't mind though, I think if someone touches me that I'm not comfortable with, I might just touch them back?!
Enjoy your hols!0 -
I also don't 'feel' pregnant! It's very strange!
I actually went shopping in Next the other day and took a whole load of stuff to the changing room.... cue me being VERY confused when my usual size wouldn't fit up top... oh yeh I have this little bump now and huge boobs! Haha! Very bizarre to be changing so much, yet feel so little?
I'm getting very possessive over bubba - my OH's aunt will say things like 'oh in 6 months we'll have a wee tot that size' (pointing to a bubba in a shop etc) - and I have to stop myself yelling out - no *I* will have a wee tot that size! LOL
Pregnancy rage is a thing, yes?!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
Hey all, just popping on as I had my 20 week scan today.
All is going well, and we're having a girl :j Very excited and feel blessed to have one of each.
Little lady was being awkward and laying on her tummy, so for the sonographer to check her heart, I had to lay on my side facing the wall after going on all fours :rotfl: Which was funny but painful with my sciatica.
Been feeling her move for a couple of weeks now, but proper kicks now. Starting to feel a lot better in myself but still feeling queasy in evenings. Went out for a meal to celebrate and had a curry, which was lovely.
Going to start getting some girlie stuff now and have a big clear out of DS clothes.
Hope everyone else is doing well xx must try to get on more often0 -
Congratulations on your girl diamond orchid, and having one of each.
My 20 week scan is on the 17th, and im really nervous, dh says i was nervous last time too, but i dont think i was this worried. We wont be finding out what were having, ive already got one of each. Dd will be 10 though so i havent got any girl things after her, ds will be 2, and ive kept everything after him. A small part of me would like to find out, because decluttering ds's things would be way easier without a newborn.
As for bumps, I definitely have one,but i'm trying to stay out of my maternity clothes for as long as i can because i know i'll be sick of them by the end!
I have 3 days to work, today and two next week, and then i have 3 weeks off, i cannot wait and know I definitely wont want to go back after it!! I need to speak to my boss about maternity leave dates etc, but i havent seen her in weeks. I seriously think she thinks i'll be there until my due date!! I plan on finishing on the 7th dec, i'll be having a section around the 27th, so i'll have two weeks annual leave, and maternity leave will start the week im having the baby. I
I'm also going to tag next years leave on to mat leave, as it runs jan - jan. meaning i'll be off until the beginning of NovStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Hello everyone. How's the weekend been?
I've got the Monday blues today, not helped by poor nights sleep and a headache.
Dragon - one week until your scan!
Got an appointment with the endocrinologist on Thursday this week and '16 week' midwife appointment next week, though I'll actually be 18 weeks.
I've definitely got babybrain. Keep having difficulty finding words! Not great at work!0 -

Hi and bye nightsky and diamond orchid!
Another one here who is having the 16 weeks midwife appointment at 18 weeks.
Listened to HB again this morning. Really loud now compared to a few weeks ago, and it sounds like a train. Very surreal.
Really want the 20 weeks scan date to hurry up, as this is the time we have said we will start buying things.
Still don't feel pregnant and 17 weeks today. No bump, no kicks........0 -

With DS i had I bump until 20 weeks. It just seemed to appear over night.
I am now just over 16 weeks and have a very prominent bump, so I assume the twins are growing. MW appointment tomorrow, then private scan booked for this weekend as I am impatient and still paranoid something is going to go wrong, so need some reassurance.
(Plus if there is something wrong, I would rather find out in the school holidays rather than the 20 week scan which is two weeks into term!)
My parental visit was bliss. Their house is like a hotel, so clean and relaxed, and I got spoilt! Makes me realise how much I miss them and hate living so far away.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
