Well I'm almost 14 weeks and I still feel rubbish. If anything, I actually feel worse, so it's back to the doctor I go this afternoon! I was actually sick this morning before I had anything to eat, which has never ever happened to me.

Anyway, on to more positive things. We've already started looking at pushchairs and I originally wanted a Stokke Xplory but I have since fallen in love with the Stokke Trailz as it's more practical for slightly rougher terrain and as we live in a rural area, it will come in handy when I take DD3 to school as the walk from the car is along a grassed bumpy area. Will also be geeting a wrap this time as it was so handy last time and I really regret selling it now :(.

On the topic of pushchairs, DH wanted the Aston Martin pushchair. However, at £3,000 I vetoed that idea .

Pink shoes - quinny buzz was on our shortlist but having spent the weekend with friends the bugaboo seemed so easy, and we got to test it out in real life rather than a shop floor, which ultimately made out mind up. I know they do a double buggy - the donkey I think it's called, it's a side by side, which personally I prefer to the 'double decker' type ones but I know they can be cumbersome.

We went to a country fair at the weekend and saw a couple with a Phil and Teds double buggy, but it took me a while to realise that's what it was as the second child was in a sort of basket at the back, didn't look like it was designed to carry a child, I thought it was terrible design.

The Bugaboo Donkey Due is fab!! (what an odd name for a pram!), but even second hand is well over £600, so double my budget.

We bought the buzz second hand for £250 which also included two seats, the carry cot, bag, parisol, spares, adaptors, maxicosi base and a maxicosi car seat. Bargain!

Our maximum MSE budget is £300, so we are thinking a second hand britax b-agile double, or the babyjogger city mini duo. We need one with decent wheel size for dog walking in fields.

Everywhere I go, I find myself staring at pushchairs and the size of car boots!!

Wow! It's been busy on here recently!

My skin is actually better since I got pregnant, I used to be very oily, but much more balanced now (fingers crossed I don't get a huge breakout after saying that!). But, it would probably be easier for me to count the days I've not had a headache, seems to be worse towards the end of the week so probably a combination of hormones, work tension and bad posture (I sit at a desk all day).

I'm also in no-mans land, too big for anything with a waist band, too small for maternity wear. Did buy some mat leggings from M&S at weekend, they're fab! Spend the rest of my time in elasticated waist skirts or empire line dresses. I'm desperate for a bump. Also on countdown for 20wk scan, 2 weeks today and I'm sooo excited!

We've bought lots of stuff already, probably most of the essential stuff (other than clothes) plus we're finally redecorating our living room (from pre-allocated savings) which is giving me something non-baby to focus on, I'm v excited! Other than that, I'm back on the saving plan now, lack of money while on mat leave is the only thing that really worries me about all of this at the moment.

Sorry I'm babbling now. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

I do this, we've ordered ours, but I still find myself staring at every one I pass on the street! People must think I'm very strange.

I think one woman thought I was staring at her cute newborn baby, but alas I was admiring her pram and wondering if both seats were suitable for newborns!! :rotfl:

Rambo- we are considering a gender scan in 3weeks time. My hospital dont tell gender at 20week scan as they have got it wrong before.I would like to know as we have held on to so much stuff from ds and I'll know whether to keep or car boot some of it!

So I had a sneaky look on ebay yesterday at work (my team don't know I'm pregnant yet). Loads of prams and travel systems at really nice prices. Definitely the way I will go I think. I need to see some in the flesh first and see what kind of thing we want, then will buy one after the 20 weeks scan.

Pinkshoes, I totally do that now. Its like a weird obsession. You go from OPK's to feint lines on a pregnancy test, to looking at prams. When does the madness stop!!

Michbright, sorry you feel rubbish. Hopefully it eases up in the next few days.

We also had a look at cars the other day. I really really like the mazda 6, the newer one. We saw a lovely one with only 170 miles on the clock at a fab price, but decided to sort that out in a few weeks. I am getting a little worried we are leaving things too late though. Ideally I want to get all the Christmas shopping done by Oct/Nov and spend Nov/Dec prepping the house for the baby. I keep telling myself we have plenty of time, but already this month I have only got half the jobs done in the house that I wanted as something always pops up.

In terms of maternity leave, I think I am going to leave work on Christmas eve (36 1/2 weeks). Our work shuts down from then until the 4/5th January, so I might use some annual leave to cover the first week of Jan and then start mat leave officially on the 11th Jan, about 8 days before due date unless baby arrives before then.

When is everyone else planning on finishing work?

My edd is 5th feb and im planning to work until 11th jan. (37weeks) I worked until that time with ds and he was 9days late. If I can finish sooner then I will but I dont think annual leave will allow. My mat pay doesnt kick off until due date so anything before that has to be taken as leave and I don't know if I have got enough left!

I'm going to work as close to my due date as I can (3rd Dec) so I can have the time off afterwards. I did this with DS too. I'll take whatever annual leave I've got left beforehand, but that's not likely to be much.

Because my leave year runs Feb to Jan, if I can work up to my due date, and take a year off, I'll use up all my accrued leave before I go back as well, so won't have to work in 2016 at all :D (assuming I don't run out of money that is!)

Pinkshoes - bugaboo donkey is definitely a strange name for a pram!

Mitchbright - I hope you start to feel better soon, I've just finished feeling ropey, just tired now.

My EDD is 16/1/15 but planning to finish on 23rd Dec and take annual leave until 12th Jan as it's only 11 days leave with the bank holidays and weekends taken in to account. I'll then have 15 days annual leave to take from my expected return date of 10th Oct to 30th Oct and go back to work properly on 31st October as my leave runs from 1st November every year. I'll be 36 1/2 weeks when I finish for Christmas so I can get Christmas out the way and then rest a bit (hopefully).

I've saved everything I need for mat leave, just need to pay off a 0% credit card and save up for baby things now. Should be do-able between now and mat leave, it's only 5 pay days away! Scary.

Despite trying to remain calm I'm starting to get excited now and imagine a little baby at the end of this, I jut don't want to be disappointed, though I think it would be perfectly ok to feel very sad and bit bereft if I miscarried now (sorry for the unpleasant thought).

I've just found out I definitely definitely have a permanent job now been told which team, I start in September with them. Just need to let that manager know I'm pregnant, can't say I'm relishing that conversation :( .
