  • Hello all, please can I be added to your list

    Mrshaworth2b - 4th November - 20 week scan 17th June

This is my second child , we have a 2 year old boy. :)
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • Welcome Mrshaworth2b!

Nothing much happening here. The odd bit of morning sickness still but very manageable compared to DD! A few aches and pains and some itching like others have mentioned. I remember having quite itchy legs towards the end with DD. I used to drive DH mad in the evenings with my squirming and scratching!

It seems so long between MW appointments this time. Saw MW at 16 weeks and haven't got another appointment until the end of May. I have to have my rescan before that though. Hopefully bubs will be a little more cooperative next time. The sonographer was pressing so hard this time to get her to move round that I had bruising the next day!

If any of you are considering baby wearing, I found a voucher code for Amawraps in Gurgle magazine. Was planning on getting one of these anyway as it's one of the highest rated wraps on Mumsnet but the code gives 15% off - GURGLE14 - doesn't say how long it is valid for though.
  • Thanks for the tip musogirl - I'll check it out.

Welcome mrshayworth2b glad to have another recruit as its so quiet on this thread just now.

Not much happening with me at the mo, just waiting for my scan in 2 weeks. I've been finding I'm getting increasingly uncomfortable at night with my hips and knees getting sore depending on which side I'm lying on. Anyone else finding this?

    Welcome mrshaworth2b!

I'm getting more uncomfortable at night as well riceGirl. Hip pain especially! I had dodgy hips before even getting pregnant so expecting it to get a lot worse.

I have my 16 week MW appointment on Wednesday - looking forward to hearing the heartbeat for the first time :) 1 month today til scan too - can't wait!

Had my 20 week scan on Monday and all looks good. Baby was wiggling around so much they struggled to tell the sex. She thinks it's a girl as far as she can tell, which shocked us as we were both convinced it was a boy for some reason! Might not update and join the pink club yet though as I suspect we will still be left uncertain until I pop!

Hey, great news Katy - glad the scan went ok & congrats on potentially being team pink. I've got my scan in a couple of weeks and I'm convinced I'm having a boy too. I'll be shocked if they tell me it's a girl!

I'm presuming no news is good news with everyone. I have nothing new to report either. Although I'm getting a bit fed up on the appointment front. I like going for appointments because it feels like I'm doing something. Lol.

But with not seeing anyone aside from the sonographer at 20 weeks, and this being my second child (no 25 week appointment), I won't see anyone until 28 weeks. So that's nearly 3 months! Sigh. Still when I do start seeing people again it will be the consultant so at least I can find out more about the options they are offering me. I know they can't dictate anything to me and it's my choice but given I am not having a home birth and I have to therefore have baby in hospital (MLU won't have me), so I am waiting to here what they suggest before I start arguing with them.

Just need OH to get a job now and then get our house sold and all will be well!
