12-24 weeks pregnant (part 4)

Yes it seems normal for symptoms to fade after 12 weeks. I had terrible feelings of sickness before then, which I didn't get with my 1st. Temperature changes particularly the cold made me feel dreadful. Then hit the 2nd trimester and all that was gone. I often forget I'm even pregnant, more to do with a very busy lifestyle and older child to deal with than anything bad, but still.
I remember clearly that the first time I was offered a seat on the train as a pregnant woman was the 7th month last time, although I don't commute anymore (self employed) & was attending running club up to 20 weeks last time. So not sure when my bump will really get going. However for any first timers wanting that bump, I don't miss not being able to lie flat on my back without feeling sick and breathless, being able to walk about without feeling dreadful & the constant feeling of being public property that you get once visibly pregnant. So worries and lack of movement aside this is a good time too. Hugs to anyone who needs them.

Thanks for all the replies. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I keep getting told to try & enjoy the pregnancy but it's always going to be hard because I'm a born worrier!
I'm convinced I'm having a boy so will be surprised if they tell me it's a girl. Started trying to think of names but I really struggle with boys names - will take a while I think! Anyone got their name all sorted? I've not bought anything yet as am waiting until after 20 week scan. Inherited a few things from family though so not totally unprepared!
Would someone be kind enough to add me to the list if you get a chance? I'm just on my phone at the moment so can't do it. Details are ricegirl145 due 27 Sept, 20 week scan 13 May.0 -
We've got both girl and boy names sorted. Although OH had a panic last night that we were stuffed if the baby didn't look like what we'd picked! I have a feeling we are having a boy too, although most people have said to me they think girl!
We have also bought a few bits - not much and I refuse to have big stuff in the house until after 20 week scan but MIL bought us a hamper of little bits like wipes, baby shampoo etc and we have a few toys that have been given as gifts - well we actually have am absolute ton of hand-my-down toys at my parents from BIL but kept a few here for our best friends' toddler when she visits.

I'm now 24 +1, so I guess I should move onto the next thread....Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Welcome new bumpies. I knew I was having a boy, this time I have no idea but hoping to find out on Tuesday at my 20 week scan. I'm really nervous for the appointment- was just excited last time.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

It's so nice to have people to talk to on here & to know I'm not the only one worrying about everything. I don't know anyone who has been through this before that I can talk to about this kind of stuff so really glad to have you guys.
Good luck for your scan tomorrow Twinklie - hope it all goes well & you find out the sex!
On a different note, has anyone else had really itchy boobs? There are times when mine are so bad it's unbearable. Using cocoa butter twice a day but doesn't seem to help much. Anyone else found anything that helps?0 -

As you can probably see - I'm now team blue. Another little boy and everything is perfect. Even if he does have a fat head and tiny legs! :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Everything was perfect thabks. Baby was being a bit rum and wouldn't let them get the measurements they need, but apart from that it was fab.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Can I ask how long it took everyone to get their results back from the screening of down syndrome? and if they got high risk how long it took from the blood test to the phone call.
