Hey everyone. Officially joining you now at 13+3 :-) got harmony results back and all fine so I'm confident in moving across.
We also found out we're having a girl! I'm actually really surprised as from scan pics I thought boy and old wives tales said boy too but I obviously don't mind!! Think OH would love a little boy but he will just be super happy that all is well :-) really excited to tell him tonight!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Aw how lovely cats! Congrats on your baby girl! I thought my OH wanted a boy too but when we were told it was a girl he actually cried (joy) and is absolutely delighted!0

Great news Cats, nice to see you on this thread!
Had my consultants appointment this morning, got to hear the heartbeat again
The consultant was lovely, really laid back. Booked in for a growth scan at 30 weeks and maybe another at 34 weeks, but he didn't have any concerns about me/baby.
Next appointment is the 20 week scan, scary to think that'll be me halfway there!
While I was out I did a spot of shopping (making the most of my son being at preschool) and treated myself to some new trainers - slip on ones for when I can't bend down to tie my laces, lol!0 -
That's great news big, time really is flying isn't it xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

I hope my time flies a bit now! We're telling parents this weekend which may help.
I'm still hugely struggling with anxiety though - I've actually decided to leave my baby centre group as there are just too many sad stories. The worry is taking over my life - every day I'm looking up miscarriage stats and am convinced it's not going to work out. Can't be good for me or baby but don't know how to stop :-(Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

cats I think its only natural to feel that way... I am the same and find I have to physically restrain myself from googling things all the time! My midwife keeps telling me not to read negative things and try and keep myself in a positive headspace as much as I can. The anxiety doesn't stop but you do feel better as the weeks tick by. Just try and stay positive and believe in your body and your baby - you are doing great so far xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

I definitely think it's natural to be anxious, I think it's going to be like this for the next 20 odd years!! I had a lot of anxiety and fear about the actual birth until I started going to my birthing classes...they are so positive it's difficult not to get swept away in it (but I must admit on week 1 as she was reading out positive birthing affirmations during relaxation time I had to hold back giggles!)
I still feel worried if I don't feel kicking for a long time but I think that's probably a good thing as it's something I should be monitoring anyway.
So 24 weeks today and I can officially move to the big thread...look forward to seeing you all over there soon - although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still going to lurk here!!0 -
Well we're officially telling people! Told 2 of my best friends on Thursday and then last night told my mum dad and sister - it was a bit emotional but amazing!!
Telling OH family tomorrow and more nervous about that just because they're excitable at the best of times...! It will be a tad intense to say the least!
This morning I also was a bit naughty and tried out my doppler again. Couldn't find hb yesterday but wasn't worried as I'm only just 14 weeks, however this morning it was weird because I felt a proper difference in where my uterus is, literally overnight, so thought I'd give it a go and sure enough there was my little racehorse! Amazing feeling :-) and definitely helping the anxiety a lot!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Yay for hearing the heartbeat. I've been a bit rubbish and still not ordered mine yet. I spoke to DH about it, and he said at that price we should definitely get one, but it's been a busy month of bills for me, and another one to follow in October as I'll have my car tax, MOT etc as well as my son's birthday to pay for, and until I get a day's work, I can't really justify buying one just yet. Fingers crossed I get some supply work soon so that I can treat myself to one, as it's lovely hearing all of your stories about hearing the heartbeat, and it would be so nice for DH and my son to hear too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
