Yay! I'm glad your scan went well Safm. My son was in an awkward position at my 20 week scan too, but I was relieved that we were going back again as it meant we got to see our little bean again, plus we'd requested to find out the gender, and the sonographer either forgot to look, or forgot what it had been, so we got to find out the next time. I hope all goes well at your next scan too. I have my 20 week scan on Thursday, and feeling quite excited and apprehensive.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I was nervous before mine because we had a couple of scares in the first 12 weeks which has made me apprehensive, only the last couple of weeks I have started to believe it's happening.

Hope your scan goes well and the baby is good for you, will you be finding out the gender? We wasn't going to but because we told family at 6 weeks because I was in hospital I never got to announce how I wanted to so we are finding out then will let people know in a fun way at Christmas.

Is anyone going to any prenatal classes? I've started aqua natal I'm really enjoying it but open to other suggestions :)

Yes we're hoping to find out the gender. Sorry to hear you were in hospital so early. We lost my daughter Poppy in November after the 12 week scan which is why I'm so nervous. Thanks for the good luck and enjoy your announcement. I did aquanatal classes with my son and enjoyed them but can't afford them now I have his nursery fees this time around. Yoga is meant to be good for pregnancy.

  • Hi everyone

Just wanted to dip my toe in this thread since I had my scan today! :j

Measuring 13 weeks exactly and all looking well with our baby button. It was having a nice wee stretch out and wriggling it's feet during the scan and had it's wee hand up at it's face.

I feel such relief after having a little bleeding at 5 +5 weeks.

Can't wait to get home from work to start telling friends and family! Our due date is 31st March 2017 xx

Just realised that I didn't update yesterday. Our 20 week scan showed a thankfully healthy baby and it's a boy.

  • Congrats Clara and mouse.

We told immediate family straight away but that we were waiting for those results, which were all ok so now we've got just a few close friends to tell but no big announcement.

I quite liked having a secret tbh.
  • Thanks Cats and Pink!

Yes we had the bloods done as well but results take around 2 weeks and we really wanted to tell people after today! My sister in law is pregnant too so my lot know how it works :)

So far we have told my boss and my parents. Hoping to catch everyone else over the weekend!

Awww that's so lovely! ! We've still barely told anyone haha. Immediate family, my boss and a few friends but that's it. I know for a lot of ours once I tell them it'll be all they talk about and I'm not ready for that yet!

  • :jWe have told all immediate family now and they have all been amazing! My brother and sister in law squeezed me so hard I thought I was going to pop! Hubbys grandma made me cry, her reaction to being a great grandma again was so sweet :)

Off out for lunch with one of my best friends for lunch today to tell her. That will then be all of our close friends who know.

Hubby is going to put a post on social media tonight to spread the word through our wider family (there is alot!!!) it's just easier! So excited
