also, does anyone know if I can use my exemption card in any chemist? I need to get some more heartburn liquid and pass a couple of chemists on my way home.
I've also got myself a little travel bottle so I dont have to take a big bottle around with me!0 -
Glad the doppler worked well newcook. As long as the heartburn stuff is on prescription and you have that with you, then any chemist should be able to fulfil the script if you have your card with you too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Another vote for the angel sounds Doppler here, it got me through the first 20 weeks really - although my Midwife wasn't keen on me using it as there is no substitute for if you're not quite feeling "right"... always best to get checked out anyway she said as they can be misleading if you don't know what you're looking for! I think they can cause panic for some but I feel really confident finding the hb myself now. I haven't felt the need to use it since I started getting regular movements every day though.
22 weeks today... yikes!! Cleared the nursery room out last night and we put lots up in the loft so we have a blank canvas now to make a start on. Very exciting! xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -

ah thats fab to know! many thanks!
saves me having to go past home to my regular chemist and back again.0 -
I looked at getting that doppler a few weeks ago when I hadn't felt any kicks all day but I thought in the end it would just make me more worried if I couldn't find a heartbeat so I resisted. Now I want one again....haha!
Had a stressful few days. I've mentioned before on the last thread I think but my dad is ill at the mo (lung cancer) and was rushed to hospital at 1am on Thursday in loads of pain. Cue two days of stress and no sleep til they got to the bottom of it...turns out nothing to do with his illness - kidney stones! He's out of hospital now so I can finally get some sleep. Little lady has been kicking non stop, probably trying to tell me to stop stressing!
We went to Asda this morning to pick up some shopping and ended up in the 'baby event' aisle for ages. Got a lovely bouncer half price, a baby gym and some wee sleep suits. OH just put the bouncer together and it's so cute. It's the first things we've actually bought (my mum has been buying millions) so it felt really nice and cheered us up!0 -
I'm glad that your Dad had something that could be treated and I hope he's feeling better now. That must have been so worrying. Yay for the baby purchases. Thanks Mouse, it's a constant worry to be honest but the baby has given everyone a wee boost and something positive to focus on!
Having a lovely relaxed night with strictly and xfactor, just what I need! Hope everyone is having a fab weekend xx0 -
Good to see that your dads pain wasn't because of the cancer pink!
OH made a good choice with the pillow - it felt very strange waking up in the morning without aching hips lol!!
went shopping with my mom yesterday and couldn't resist buying some cute things for bump in primark! I also managed to pick up a couple of maternity bras - pack of 2 for £10 and are so comfy!
I have found though there is a massive lack of maternity clothes shops! I get that online shopping is popular but we couldn't find one shop while out that has a maternity department!0 -
Just popping over to say I've found h and m stock a reasonable amount of maternity clothes (although I guess it depends what your local h and m is like) and mothercare isn't too bad and some larger new looks stock some maternity bits. Apart from that I think most my maternity clothes were ordered online from next.0

I agree re: H&M, I got about 5 tops from there and they are v reasonably priced. There is an astonishing lack of maternity departments actually on the high st.
We ordered our nursery furniture on Saturday and a Snuzpod! It was so exciting, should be here in 6-8 weeks which gives plenty of time to paint the room. We went to Asda too and had a look at the baby event, there were some good deals, have to keep an eye out for future ones.
PP I'm glad everything is ok and hope you got some rest over the weekend. My Dad had kidney stones and they were very painful, hope he is feeling a bit better xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0
