I was watching my tummy move earlier with baby kicking, it's amazing bit so strange. I don't think I'll be watching Alien anytime soon :rotfl:

I'm going to make my way over to the next thread now  Hoping you're all well and I'll see you over there soon.
  • Anyone looking for maternity clothes, h&m had some lovely ones and some of their nursing vests were reduced from £20 to £7 for 2! I'd have got more if I had known, but got a pair of shorts, trousers and various tops... Most of which can probably be used after baby arrives when I'm feeding too which is a bonus. My normal clothes are just a little too tight but not quite in full on maternity yet!

Fighting off a migraine today, but we agreed to babysit for friends while they went to the cinema... So feeling a bit sorry for myself as I really just want to be in my bed! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. X

Good luck in the next thread Beckyy.

I have washed the big bundle of maternity clothes I stored from last time. They include some very nice bits for Jojo Maman Bebe which I treated myself too (they do gorgeous stuff in lovely quality material) and some pieces from Mamas & Papas, Red Herring and Mothercare/Blooming Marvellous. The rest are mostly random bundles from eBay, many of which are not my first choice in style or colour but were cheap. They do make you realise how many brands have a maternity range that you never knew of and is only online, as my pile includes ASOS, Miss Selfridge, Next, New Look, etc. I'll need more summer stuff this time though as last time I was due early March instead of late November. Plus last time I found I was very warm late on in the pregnancy so the heaviest of my jumpers never got much wear, so ladies don't assume you'll be cold but wait and see.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Yay. Hope to see you over there soon beckyy.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Think I felt baby move yesterday, not 100% sure though.

Went and got some bigger trousers at the weekend as my normal ones are a little tight. Like you pyschopathbabble not quite in maternity clothes yet. I haven't put on any weight yet, but obviously my belly is bigger.

I'm full of cold at the moment, but not feeling too bad. Drinking lots of honey and lemon.

Hoping to have the kitchen back in the next couple of weeks. DH has been working hard to get the room ready for it to go in. Looking forward to being able to cook properly again!
  • Ladies I went to a mothercare expectant parent event last night.... the event itself was a little pointless (although DH learnt a few things about car seats) however you do get a 10% off voucher which is valid on promotions and sale items, and doesn't run out until 3rd July so if you are getting any bigger bits from there, it's worth popping along. They also have the silver cross wayfarer with a free car seat, seat liner and change bag which works out at £535.50 (with the discount) instead of £800.

There were also local companies there, so I've found a sling library to help me out once LO arrives etc.

  • I'm excited today, the pram DH wants is available to pre-order so we are popping in tonight to order it... it's the first big purchase! Will also order the cot bed and crib at the same time, making the most of the 10% and another voucher I have. 20 week scan is tomorrow, and my cousin is in just after me for her 12 week scan... fingers crossed all is ok for both of us :)

  • Just had my 16 week midwife appointment (at 17+5) and all was well :D Midwife found the heartbeat no problem - and could tell where the baby was with a quick prod - how do they do that?!? Anyway it was lying just near one of my blood vessels or something down there so you could hear my heartbeat and beans at the same time - was lovely! :grinheart

I've got a private gender scan booked for Saturday afternoon - fingers crossed for team pink! :p Bought the cutest little dungaree outfit so have got my fingers crossed I don't need to return it for something blue! :rotfl:

Got my next few appointments all booked in too - anomaly scan, next midwife appointment and the dreaded GTT - busy few weeks coming up!

Psycho will keep my fingers firmly crossed for you both! Am really looking forward to seeing the difference since the last scan - are you wanting to find out the gender?

Good luck with the private scan :) no we aren't finding out, DH doesn't want to, I'm on the fence with it! I've got my GTT booked for 8th August... was going to have it at my doctors but the midwife unit have a day centre that is quite nice to sit in apparently! Can't be long until your next scan now?

  • Not long at all really - it's on July 1st - I only got the letter through for it yesterday and I was booked in at a random health centre that's not near where I live and I work at the hospital so phoned and changed it round! Will be nice to see bubs twice so close together anyway but I don't think we'd have booked the other scan if this one had been arranged sooner - it took two days to get the first scan appointment through - this one took 4 and a bit weeks! :rotfl:
