We're letting my Star Wars nut BiL buy all the outfits for bump lol. Hasn't stopped me getting Cookie Monster and Tigger stuff as well though! Baby will be 6-8 weeks old at Halloween so can't wait for that either. Saw another poster saying when she had kids every day would be fancy dress, and I have always felt the same, first time I met DsS we found him a Darlek costume in a charity shop, we've been on very good terms ever since lol

He's grown loads the last few days, and he's kicking hard enough that not only has DH felt them, DsS has too which he was a bit amazed by lol (bump is 22+3 btw, just seems to be quite long and strong, even if that does make him sound like a brand of toilet roll!!)

We're planning to have a small sofa bed in baby's room as well as another poster noted, but we will still keep it once baby's n there after six months etc as I know from friends how useful it could be for times if baby is a bit unwell and needs a eye on them etc (as they've been too big to come back in our room in the crib by then, though we could use the bigger travel cot if needed, but it's easier to allow one of us to sleep for the day shift afterwards!).

Baby will go behind driver in our car as I haven't passed my test yet so I'll be able to reach him and DsS can stay where he is behind me where he'll have more leg room anyway, and he needs it, he's nine but he's only an inch or two of shoulder height on me and I'm 5'8"!

By the time the baby is out half the world will have seen up your nethers, getting a small amount of boob out is nothing by comparison.

Think.. you try it.. if it doesnt work out you can say you tried and do what is best for your family.. it is noone elses business.. so long as they are warm and fed and loved and clean nothing else matters.

Beckyy.. noone really cares if you bf in public or not.. 99.9% of people don't even notice.. I have bf 10 children.. I have spent around 13 YEARS breastfeeding and in all that time I had one comment.. a church do-gooder saying I MUST go feed my daughter, whose baptism it was, in the creche.. I asked which formula Jesus had and said I doubt God would be upset by me breastfeeding if it was how he made me! I think she felt a bit silly.. but noone else has ever said a word to me, not even when feeding my fairly enormous 2.5 year old! Don't worry about others making comments they just don't.

Lucy- my little one should be about 6 weeks at halloween if he comes on time, so hopefully will fit in the 0-3 months darts vader sleep suit! Thats my plan anyway!

I've had a few kicks this evening.

Still completely undecided on pushchair. Think I'll drag oh to the next city next weekend as they have a much bigger mothercare, toys r us and a mamas and papas, and I want to go to ikea too and they have one there too.

I've been feeling this morning and kept thinking I could feel something, but it was probably just my finger twitching or OH's belly moving as she was breathing.

She said she could feel swirling first thing this morning. As if the baby was swimming around.

Had a look at sailor baby costumes this morning :)

Hahaha, I hate auto correct at times!!!

I've seen the cutest little romper suit so I am tempted to buy him for a wedding we have, it's ages away but this outfit is so cute and will be perfect for the day, plus I'm assuming he will need at least two outfits for the day, so even if I see something else I love even more he will need a back up as he's bound to get grubby!!

Think I am going to have to stay away from shops with baby clothes for a while or I will buy every cute outfit I see!

Told my sister and nieces and nephews yesterday. As expected the eldest nephew wasn't too impressed!

The youngest niece asked when she'll be able to feel the baby moving, told her she'll have to wait for a few weeks yet.

The youngest nephew was really funny. I told them they were getting an extra cousin and asked him if he knew what that meant (he's only 4) and he said yes I am getting another cousin. I said yes and the baby is in my tummy. He then decided he was having a baby and put he's teddy up his top :rotfl:

When I was saying good bye I said are you going to say bye to the baby and he thought it was in my boob. I told him to it's down here so he tried to look up my dress :rotfl: I'm sure it'll be easier to understand when there's a bigger bump!

Just me- I've resisted really well, we did get baby a couple of bits last week, but we have so much still to buy. But will wait a bit longer. Plus my Nan said she is doing a box of baby stuff for us. My mum and mil are also likely to go mad (mil mentioned the other day they will buy our pushchair so that would be incredibly helpful if they do) and one of my sisters asked what she could buy us so is getting us a bouncer, plus other family are likely to buy us bits too, so I don't want to buy too much yet as we can always go out and buy stuff much closer to the time as I don't want to end up with two of everything.

Your nephew sounds really sweet and funny. It's funny how they react to things like that isn't it.

Properly showing now. She wore one of her maternity dresses for the first time. Her mum spotted it for the first time.

We visited them today. When OH got up from chair to walk across the room, I spotted her mum trying to get a good peek at the bump. I knew she would, I had a feeling.

I'm not far off having the nursery back together. All the plasterboard is up and jointed. Just need to finish it off, paint and get carpet back down.

Have also been clearing the garage ready for the builders starting a week on Monday with our conversion.

We got a letter through today saying that the scan appointment has been moved 3 hours earlier. The original one wasn't with the consultant, so they've changed it so that it now will be with the consultant.

it's fine, just a bit of a pain as I was originally just going to miss the last hour of work, now I'm going to have to take the whole day as its right bang in the middle and Its a long trip from my work to OH's work and then back to hospital. I'd already sorted out the cover!

looking forward to the scan though. Seems like ages since our last (was less than 4 weeks ago)

    When is the scan Freddie?

We need to sort the baby's room out, our upstairs is a bit a strange layout. It suits the two of us fine hence why we haven't done anything about it in 8 years, but it needs to be sorted when little one is ready to go in his room so hopefully we will be able to do it before his arrival. it involves putting a corridor in do should be fairly simple, but will be things like the door frame that may take my perfectionist oh to do and we will need a radiator moved too.

I show more on weekends as all my work dresses are skater style whereas in jeans and a t shirt it shows a lot more!!
