Thank you for responding pigpen, I'll have to look to see what smallest Ikea cot measurements are. I've found a nice small cot on Tesco too, I still prefer the look of cribs but wouldn't want baby to get used to the motion and that becoming the only way he will sleep.

We didn't go shopping or browsing in the end, but we have ordered bits off Amazon including the nappy bin with extra cartridges, a bath support, change mat and a baby grow with ohs fave footy team.

We have started to sort the house out so that we can make space to store the stuff currently in babys room, luckily there is already a chest of drawers and an Ikea storage unit that will be perfect for wipes, nappies etc.

Baby must have tired himself out from all the moving about yesterday as he has been so quiet today, although he's having a little fidget now!!

    That's lovely Freddie!

The sonographer who did our gender scan mentioned that she thought I had an anterior placenta, so I'm guessing it'll be few weeks yet before I start to feel anything more than swirls and flutters with it cushioning everything at the front.

I got a massive bundle of baby clothes from someone locally for quite a small amount. We couldn't quite believe how much there was after we went through it all properly and it's sorted the bulk of all the clothes we'll need!

I haven't braved looking into a travel system further yet though.

Beckyy, I have looked so much into pushchairs online to try and work out a short list of the ones I want to look at and play with in the Shops but am still completely undecided!!

    Ditto

Scan tomorrow at lunch time. Nervous and excited.

I'm desperate to buy stuff but can't until the room is sorted. We're already two rooms down. Third bedroom/office is crammed... Living room has turned into a studio apartment! No room for anything new!

Think I'm leaning towards the Uberchild travel system because they look good and seem to be about the best you can get for their price point.

I really like the ickle bubba stomp v3 but as it only appears to be online I'm a bit put off, the biggest reason as I think it would make any fault returns more difficult than if I get it from a shop. So now I'm edging towards the joie chrome plus, but for everything I want that puts it about ;£100 more than the ickle bubba, so I could just not get the carry cot and it will be about the same price (that's pushchair, car seat and isofix base).

Oh has ordered the isofix bits for my car so hopefully that will all go I'm ok. I'm going to get it put in behind me.

You don't have to have them moving.. they all lock so they are stationary.

I did think that, but then thought if it's going to be locked all the time so baby doesn't get used to being rocked to sleep I should just get a space saver cot for the same money (maybe even slightly less) and it will last a few months longer hopefully too.

They are born used to being rocked to sleep.. that is the motion of your moving the entire time they are growing.. in effect you force them to get used to sleep by NOT being rocked.. quite the opposite really

I hope your scan goes well today Freddie :)

We've got a moses basket with a rocking stand (that can be locked still if needed) until baby is big enough for his cot bed.
