Scan was brilliant. He was booty dancing the whole time though! She was finding it really tricky to get the right position for any length of time. OH had to keep moving onto different sides to try and get the angle right!
He's measuring well and everything is as it should be.
Got some brilliant pictures. The printer wasn't working so she gave them to us on a CD. Got 9 photos. Including one of his chin, mouth and nose. As if he's pressing them onto a glass window.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -
That's fantastic Freddie! Really glad everything is going well and he was dancing away :T
Thursday is scan day for us, looking forward to it now!0 -
Glad all went well Freddie.
Andrew of the bits we ordered yesterday have arrived, it helps me to feel a bit more organised.
I had my last class for the year at university today. Had a good chat with my lecturer and i don't need to get them a definite answer until the new term starts in September. I am however 95% sure I will defer for one year, but I have come up with a plan to try and get my dissertation mostly completed during my time off to ease the pressure a little bit once I go back, feeling much happier about my decision now.
Also got my annual leave signed off so I'll be saving it and having four weeks off then I'll start maternity leave one week before my due date.
It feels like things a falling into place.at last.0 -
Wow, I'll have to graduate soon, am 23+5 now!
He kicks quite a bit most of the time but we've just had another growth spurt so he's been more sleepy today after a lot of kicking yesterday lol

That's good news about your course ThinkPink, and glad to hear you're doing well Lucy
I've been giving my maternity leave a bit of thought. I'm hoping to work until 37 weeks then take 3 weeks annual leave and start my maternity leave at my due date. I've had mixed opinions from my work mates, some have told me to take it asap others have said to work til my due date if I can.0 -
Argh, I'm wide awake and can't get back to sleep so have popped downstairs for a drink and am hoping a quick browsing online will make me sleepy!
Beckyy - i want to save my annual leave as that way 1) I can spend time with a few people who are term time only (mum, really close friend etc) 2) I'm worried ill struggle to drive towards the end and have a 20 mile to work 3) it makes it easier for work as August is our quiet time 4) if it's a hot summer I don't want to be sat in the office heavily pregnant! 5) I want my actual maternity to start as late as possible but definitely don't want to be working up to 39 weeks! Go for when works out best for you, not everyone else.0 -
Re Mat Leave I just want as much time off after as possible... But you can add on any unused holiday days from this year to the end of your leave too which will extend your paid time off too. I'm trying not to waste any holiday so I can lump it together before or after mat leave! So difficult to work out what to do, luckily I think my employer is relatively flexible!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
Became homeowners 26.02.16
Baby girl arrived 27.10.16
Baby boy arrived 16.09.2018

I thinks its hard to judge as you don't know how you'll be feeling towards the end. I've got just under 4 weeks A/L left just now, but will probably want a day or two to take before the end of Summer which would leave me with about 3 weeks I need to take before mat leave. I just want as much time as possible the other side too, finance wise it makes more sense as well as childcare is so expensive.0

Hello everybody just quickly saying hello before I forget and end up being a lurker for my time on this thread too!
I'm currently 13+3 with mine & OH's first - it'll be his parents first grandchild, but my sister is currently 16 weeks ahead of me baby cooking wise so it'll be my mum's second! :rotfl:
Had our dating scan yesterday - surprised we didn't get to hear the heartbeat, was just shown where it was, but all seems OK for this stage! Only just told our families and friends yesterday so that was lovely - have to keep looking at the scan pics to remind myself it wasn't a dream and it is really happening!
Right with that I am going back to bed for a couple of hours as I've been awake since 3am - being post night shifts and pregnant is not the best I have to sayWill have a proper catch up on the thread after sleep - nice to find the "graduates" from the under 12 weeks thread doing well.

Congratulations Ruby! Lovely that baby will have a cousin of similar age too
We didn't get to listen to baby's heartbeat at our 12 week scan either, just see it. Got to hear it at our 16 week gender scan (private) but if it wasn't for that we'd still be waiting to have a listen.0
