Sorry to hear that Gelly, at least it's not long until your leave now though!

The soundproofing sounds like a labour of love Freddie!

I hope everyone is going well. Starting to notice my little bump growing now and we've told most friends/colleagues now so it feels a little bit more real and exciting. We've been looking around at baby things, so many great deals on Gumtree etc. We also have some vouchers we've been saving up so hoping we'll be able to get some new things essentially for free.

We still haven't told many people! Mil keeps asking when she can tell people, but her friends aren't knowing before mine, and I'll tell mine when I'm ready!! Really hoping midwife will be able to hear heartbeat at my appointment on Tuesday, I'll be 17 weeks by then, if she does I will then tell my friends and family(aunts, uncles etc) at the weekend and I will then tell all my work colleagues the following week.

Gelly- do your work have a right to request flexible working policy? Acas guidance can be found here:

    http://m.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=1616

Although ultimately they can turn your request down they should follow the process and give you the right to appeal. (So even if they do turn it down you've at least made them work a little bit towards making that decision!)

I don't think it is anyone elses news to share.

    Hi everyone.

Been off on annual leave for last week and have accomplished so much. We've lifted all the block paving in the garden and turfed it. Swapped bedrooms with the boys (there's was bigger) and decorated both.

Paying for it now though, hips/pelvic area and my back are giving me so much grief.

Back to work Monday, with my MatB1 form.

I want to return part time but not sure when to ask/mention it.

Pigpen- A few family members asked me last week and I denied it!! It's not I want to deliberately lie, but as I tell people I feel more pressure that it all needs to be ok. It's first grandchild on both sides so both sets of parents are very excited, and just want to tell people, but I'll only allow it when I'm ready!!

Rinroo, I personally will be waiting till I start actually look at returning, I may indicate to my manager my intentions (I want to work three days a week) before I go on maternity leave, but won't ask formally till I'm looking at returning (a flexible working request should be resolved with 3 months I think) as you never know how things may change at in a year, ie for all I know oh may change jobs and we won't be able to afford me to reduce my hours etc so I would rather apply to reduce my hours towards the end of my maternity leave.

Just went to a concert - 1.5 hours at Avicii was all I could handle! Lol.. Danced loads and now I'm on the way home to my bed... Heading to Formula 1 race tomorrow - we watched the qualifying today and baby girl kicked away when the engines passed.. Felt like I needed ear defenders for my belly :D

    Ooh tatabubbly enjoy the F1!

I'm knackered. Spent 3 hours wandering round shops with my friend, got some cute sleepsuits, bibs and muslins from Primark. Also did the food shop with OH. I can do it in half hour, took us almost 90mins! He dawdles!

Ooh and we opened up our Uberchild Evo pram finally! Put it all together and played with it for a bit. Also checked that it fitted in my boot. Love it!

That's a really nice pushchair flutter, and such a good price, it's a shame there is no car base option or I would be considering it.

I was looking at a top ten rated pushchairs thing the other day, most were really expensive but there was one on there that they do online at kiddiecare which is chassis, carry cot, seat base, raincovers, car seat and isofix base and its a really good price so I just need to see if I can find any local (well within say 50 miles) that stock it as I would want a look and play before I order, and check it's comfortable for a little shorty like me to push.

Hope everyone is ok, pigpen- are you still refusing to get the crutches out?
