thanks Pigpen. We're not worried, it will just be extra checks.
It says on the letter that the appointment is for growth, anomaly and doppler ultrasound tests. It has each one listed as a separate thing.
But then in handwriting the clerk has written 16 week scan with "Drs name".
We've then already got our 16 week midwife appointment booked for 2 days later on the Friday.
Both had a dental checkup today and all is fine. She doesn't have her exemption certificate yet but the receptionist just took our word for it and she didn't have to pay.
She tried to book our next appointment for exactly 6 months time which turned out to be the due date! To think we could have a baby with us within 6 months. Brilliant!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I hope everyone is well?
It will be reassuring to see baby again Freddie! We've booked a private gender scan for next week and I'm glad we have as although we have the date for our 20 week scan it still feels ages off, and it's nice to see what's going on in there earlier.
I bought my first pair of maternity jeans... comfiest things in the world! Fully intend to keep a pair for eating out in the future :rotfl:
I'm definitely looking a little bit pregnant now  Can't believe there's only 6 months to go!
We've been trying to write a list of things we eventually need to get. It's not massive, pram/travel system is probably the main thing we'll need to research about. Lots 2nd hand, but also some really nice ones on offer regularly.0 -

Oh I love my maternity jeans! So comfy, they do fall down a bit sometimes but still much more comfy than any other pair of jeans.
I'm 24 weeks today :j, so I'm graduating to the big girl thread. Hope to see you all over there soon.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Tata - hope Today's class is better than yesterdays. I've considered a lactation consultant as I just couldn't breastfeed with my other two - zero support. Where do I find one and do you know an average cost?I hope everyone is well?

Beckyy: I did a spreadsheet/list and I've slowly ticked off the essentials. Its only sheets and some 3-6 month clothing to get and we're pretty much done. It helped control our spending and over buyingflutterbyuk25 wrote: »I'm 24 weeks today :j, so I'm graduating to the big girl thread. Hope to see you all over there soon.
Bye Flutter - i'll be joining you in 11 days :j
Handed in my MATB1 and letter this morning, so roll on 22nd July. I've a very wriggly little missy today. She's not stayed still.0 -
Rinroo - I'm abroad but I think if you looked on your local mums and babies groups on Facebook you'd probably find one. Well today's class on breastfeeding was much better and I've found out there are more classes beginning next week held individually that you can walk in and pay for so I'm pretty happy I'll have a good idea. I'm going to see how I feel around the end and book perhaps one session for lactation consultant as well for after, just for reassurance. It'll be cheaper than formula in the long run.
I'm 24 weeks as well so I'll be going to the big girl thread but I'll be popping back in to say hi!
Got our "free" changing bag, Moses basket sheets and cellular blanket today - paid for by surveys I do online. Changing bag is just a plain black one that Hubby and me can use and I'm going to buy myself a nice Cath Kidson bag (cos I wanted one any ways!) and pop in a small extra sectional for days I want a not mummy bag

That's great ThinkPink. Do you have any feeling about whether it's a boy or girl already?
I feel almost certain that ours is a boy, everyone who's seen the 12 week scan photo has said it looks like a boy and OH said she felt like it was a boy right from the start, before we'd even seen it.
I'm hoping we might get a good look at our scan next week. It'll still be quite early 15 weeks and 2 or 4 days. I know they won't be specifically looking for it, but I might be able to see while they're doing the full anatomy check.
It's exciting and I'd be equally happy with a boy or girl. Just want them to be healthy. But I do think it's a boy!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I've nearly finished taking the old plastering and dabs off the wall in the nursery.
Had to use a drill almost like a mini pneumatic drill to remove it as it was taking forever doing by hand with hammer and chisel.
It did shift it quickly but really knackers your arms out. I also had to stop as it was giving OH a headache. Unfortunately the only jobs I can do in there at the moment are noisy ones! Still in process of removing the plasterboard from the other walls, took car full of the rubble to the tip.
Meanwhile we've had builders round to give us a quote for converting our integral garage. We want to extend the kitchen into it a bit and then have it as a larger kitchen/dining room. So our current living/dining room can just be a living room with plenty of space for baby things! Means new kitchen and all sorts so it's a lot of work but very exciting.
Just have to see what kind of quotes we get. major nesting syndrome going on!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I really thought it was a little boy, but hubby really thinks a little girl. I was certain of a boy and then dreamt I went for my 20 weeks scan adamant it was a boy to find it was a girl so I'm unsure now!! We have agreed full names for both boy and girl!!
I did say we would have a gender scan if I was worried after todays appointment but I'm not worried now as they found the heartbeat so think I will just be patient until the 29th and hope baby cooperates!!0 -
When I was booking our gender scan I assumed it would be 16-18 weeks before they could tell but they advised if your BMI was under 30 they can usually tell from 15 weeks, and 30+ 16 weeks so you might well see Freddie!0
