babies don't care about your choices so long as they are warm, fed and loved. What more could they ever need?

Well said pigpen :) my big sister slept in a drawer for her first 2 weeks!

Re: carrycots, I think all would be suitable for napping, but if you want to use for overnight sleeping check the guidance, as some don't have sufficient ventilation? Our uppababy one was suitable for overnight, we used it downstairs during the day and as a travel cot until DD was about 5 months.

Can often get Moses baskets for tiny amounts on our local fb selling pages, just buy a new mattress for safety.

    So, hi :)

I'm 15+4 today, EDD is 07/09/16. Can't wait to get our travel system and cot stuff but, we're holding off on furniture as we are house hunting and the flat is still upside down after builders did out subsidence repairs!

Also, think we're waiting on finding out sex at 20 weeks before getting the travel system, as some of the colour variations are actually cheaper than the plain ones.

Congrats Lucy! Welcome to the club.

I've an anti natal appointment today, just testing for iron levels and GD test as well. I need to check if I'm up to date on my DT injections as they give them at this appointment as well if needed.

It'll be my last appointment for another 2 months as I've a growth scan at 30 weeks.. Seems like such a long time in between.

So found out yesterday that baby is a girl :) happy to have found out, hated calling my bump an it. OH is delighted which makes me very happy!

Other than that baby is all good! I've been told I need to watch my weight and have been given a low carb diet (hmmm) so we will see what happens there!

Oh that's lovely news that you are having a little girl tatabubbly. How many weeks are you now?

I've been , for some reason, worrying the last few days, like 'is my bump getting bigger, do I even have a bump, what if something has gone wrong'. I have no reason to be feeling like this but I think it's just we want this so much I'm now worried to actually get excited and start believing it's actually happening in case something goes wrong. Argh, I need a positive kick up the bottom!!

Think pink, I'm 22 weeks - so more than halfway through. Plan to have everything ready from about 37 weeks (hospital bag, essentials got in house). It's my first so I've no idea if I'll go under or over and I like to be prepared. Plus I can imagine my poor OH being accosted by some local workers if I sent him to the shop to get baby things and coming back with a pile of useless stuff I'll never need. Bless him, he does try!

Think pink, after the first trimester, things have a more positive look statistically. I don't think you ever stop worrying, I know I haven't! They say you become a mum when you get pregnant and dads become dads at birth.

Done all the floors upstairs and now I'm exhausted. Need to make lunch but couldn't be bummed!

Think it's settled in today that I'm having a girl! I'm hoping this means I won't get peed on as much! Lol
