I so nearly bought the mountain buggy duet due to the width, but having played with a friends, it weighs 15.5kg and is hefty to lift in the car, and a bit fiddly to collapse.
The Out n About v4 is nearly 3kg lighter (i am not very strong!) plus bigger tyres for dog walking!
The final sway was on price - I paid £321 brand new for the latest version from Tesco, and got a load of clubcard points too!
Also worth checking if you can get any big baby items at Boots, as with the Parenting Club 10 points per £ you can make a lot back - we ordered our car seat and isofix base from there last time when they were on offer, and got £40 worth of points back which we used to buy our baby monitor!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Ooh that's good! Can you put carrycots on it to start?
I don't think so, but I didn't want carry cots, as they were a lot of money and DS grew out of his so quickly it was such a waste of money for the few weeks it got used!
Will just be using a cosy toes foot muff thing, and the seats go back flat.
So many choices for prams it is a headache!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I'm glad we don't have to choose a new pram this time, we're sticking with our Uppababy as DD will be nearly 3.5 by the time baby comes so we're going to buy a buggyboard for it, or pop baby in the sling if she needs the pushchair for some reason. It was our most stressful choice last time as they're such a big purchase! In fact apart from a new changing table (as we were using the boxed in stair rise in DD's room for one, and we're moving to a new house), I don't think we'll need anything apart from a second highchair - we have a Stokke Tripp Trapp which DD is still using.
After loads of worry about not being able to feel baby before our scan this week, since the scan I've felt them quite a few times! These babies do like to test us!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

I've got all sorts of random aches and pains! I think it's just stretching etc, but my tummy has been sore all over this week, and my hips/thighs are sore as well. Planning a long bath tonight while DH cooks dinner!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
pink I have no idea what to do but I really want a parent facing option. I suppose the best thing is to go and look at them! When did you buy yours? Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I was soo upset this morning, convinced I was going to bleed to death at the birth as my midwife has told me to take asprin right up until the birth. A quick Google shows most people are told to stop at 36 weeks. I'm bleeding so much with a pin sized cut so I am really worried. I've heard they can give you an injection at the birth. Blood loss is a huge fear anyway and it's really not helping. I've spoken to my midwife who said yes stay on the asprin until labour but I'm going to bring it up again.
Anyway, on a more positive note, I'm looking forward to buying my pram too. Hopefully going to order it this weekend, i've chosen the joolz day.
Hope you both feel better after a relaxing weekend niptuckfan and Littlemoog!0 -

I bought mine about a week ago when I was nearly 27 weeks.
Is there some sort of pram centre near you? Most main stream shops that sell prams hardly have any double ones in to view.
Mothecare had the Britax B agile and mini city jogger, then John Lewis had all the expensive ones but mostly front/back set up. Toys R Us were rubbish!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

I never bought a pram last time, and won't be again this time. I used a combination of slings and stretchy wraps until LO could walk. Then she walked! I did get a hip seat as a transitional thing before she was really able to walk distances but now she walks everywhere I walk.
Sweetilemon, in my last pregnancy I took aspirin until the day I went into labour (took the last one at 8am, labour started at 9:30 and had emc shortly after 2pm), under the guidance of my consultant. This time the consultant told me to stop at 36 weeks but can't see what the difference is really except it is a different consultant?
Yesterday I had pain at the top and front of my bump - it was really uncomfortable but once I had eaten something it eased off.
I'm 24 weeks today! That means only 15 or so weeks to go... but it doesn't quite seem real yet. LO has started saying that "mommy has a baby in her tummy". According to her, it is a baby sister; not sure how she's going to react if the sonographer is correct about it being a boy! At least I can check again at my next scan.0 -
Saffagal that's a relief to know. Did they give you something to help stop the bleeding during/after labour?
I was thinking about getting a sling for the shops (wouldn't leave the pram sitting outside). Don't think I could cope with it full time though. Think I might wait until the baby is born to judge if I think I'd use it.0
