We had an offer accepted on a property today, it's a bit further away from our works but hopefully worth it for a family home. Just need to start sorting out the mortgage. Keep going from calm to a nervous wreck!

Littlemoog I struggle to know what's normal because this is my first. I don't know what's movement and what's not, was hoping to feel them more frequently. I'm quite impatient when I take time out to lie down to feel movements and embarrassingly not exactly sure which part of my tummy I would feel them, I tend to feel things in different areas.

Niptuckfan I feel like my mum and MIL have covered everything clothing wise and it feels like loads but not sure if it will be too much or not enough. I've bought a few smaller sizes because I feel everyone says they'll grow out of them so quickly I don't want my LO in huge clothes for the first few months.

Looking forward to starting the nursary in our new home. Finances will be tight but I'll just need to keep track of spending especially over mat leave.

Glad you've found somewhere Sweetilemon, have you sold your flat yet?
With my DD, I found the movements very recognisable from the first one I noticed. It was like being flicked on the inside of my tummy. I haven't felt anything like that so far, but do get twangy feelings in my bladder in the evenings sometimes which I assume is baby kicking it! I'm also questioning whether every rumble/bubble I feel is the "flutterings" I didn't notice with DD before the first obvious movement.

No its still not sold, have a possible buyer but if not I think we'll just rent it out. Top expensive to keep as a holiday flat which would be handy as it's close to work.

Some days I'm confident I've felt kicks then others I worry I've not felt anything in ages. I can't work out if it's kick jabs or just drank too much water sometimes. Sometimes I get flutters when I sit down after work but not always. The only thing stopping me worrying was hearing the heartbeat at 18weeks. Scan on Wed.
  • morning ladies, i am the same little flutterings that i think are movements but no real ouch kicks, thats me 21 weeks today cant quite belieive it

sweetilemon i was the same and hearing the heartbeat was lovely, good luck for wed...such a lovely exciting time...i for one felt massive relief after the scan and said to myself i know need to try chill and enjoy the pregnancy (sometimes easier said that done i know)

I've been feeling kicks for about a week or so now (I'm 20+4 today). Before, the movements were like a lurching or rolling sensation (a bit like being on a rollercoaster or when you drive too fast over a little bridge), but now they feel like definite little jabs! The smaller ones are almost like a bubble popping, but the larger ones are definitely a clear kick! I have been able to feel the odd one from the outside too - keep trying to get OH to feel them, but baby seems to go all shy when he's around :rotfl: It's much easier to feel them when baby kicks right at the front near my belly button - if the kicks are down low then I have to be lying/sitting very still to be able to feel them.

The only problem is that now I can feel the kicks I get in a panic if I haven't felt anything for a while - keep having to tell myself to try and relax, especially as you're not supposed to worry about monitoring the frequency of movements until about week 26. Doing my absolute best to chill out a bit and enjoy it!

I didn't know that's the recommended time to start monitoring, good to know Bean83. It is hard to relax, I do try my best. Bit of a nervous wreck this week with the scan and house buying, just hoping I'll get a mortgage.

I think we're lucky being at this stage as winter is coming, means we're not hot and bothered in late pregnancy and will be able to walk the pram in the spring sunshine hopefully!

Good to know when to start keeping track of movement, thanks Bean83

16 weeks now and told my boss at work today. I was dreading it but he was fine about it, when I asked for a chat he thought I was going to say I was leaving so he was happy that I wasn't.

I'm also glad not to be pregnant over summer, the last time I was and it was a heatwave, lived off ice lollies that summer!

Woo hoo! Mortgage application went through so the move is still on. A lot more excited about it now, was starting to feel a bit of a fraudster before that, people kept congratulating me but I was just thinking if we don't get a mortgage it's not ours.

My scan is tomorrow too, good luck Littlemoog.
