  • Morning everyone

Is this cold ever going to get better??? Sorry I know a lot of you have far bigger troubles but I am sick of it. Head feels like it has been stuffed full of cotton wool and I cant stop coughing.

Paid stuff this morning then I must spend some time sorting out bits of paper and clearing my desk when I get home. Need to try and persuade the dog to go for a walk this afternoon too as he has hardly been out of the house for 3 days. He doesnt like the cold.

Then I am hoping for a quiet weekend wrapping presents, updating my finances and generally pottering about. Oh and the tree must go up!

    Good morning all

Still feel smiley and relieved this morning.

Last pilates of the year this morning and then we will go to the pub across the road for a coffee afterwards.

This afternoon I need a concentrated catch up flying session, plus meal planning and shopping list writing. Then the weekend can be spent on all things christams, tree buying, wreath making, card writing and going to a christmas show.

Best start moving, mogs are crowding in on me, DH was out last night so one less person to hurry along this morning.

YL I hope your cold eases soon

    Morning everyone.

Wrote cards for work last night then just now I've realised need to write 2 to post.

At my voluntary job today. It's A&E day so will be a busy day. Then DDs for tea.

Bathroom and kitchen floors washed last night so just need to put things back this morning.

    Dusty Well done.
Deco Cat come home vibes coming your way.
NarcO Hope your DH feels much better soon.

Hugs, spoons, sticks and get well vibes where needed.
  • Morning! - note to self must get up as soon as DH out of the bathroom!!!

Dusty Well done. You'll be smiley for ages.
Deco Hope you get news of your cat soon.

Hugs sticks and spoons for anyone needing them.

Today I am putting up the hall tree as didn't manage it yesterday! Must wait for meter reader or else he won't be able to- meter read that is!

Hairdressers at 12.30 then straight to a meet up of old colleagues - ones that have left that the office. Back home to make 30 chunky mince pie slices for party. The decadent chocolate truffle torte (Beeb Good Food)was so easy it was untrue. DH scraped the bowls and said it tasted good so hope it goes down well tonight.

Have decided what I am wearing for the party and need to make up my mind if I am going to lose another half or stone in the New Year as now need some clothes that fit!!!

    Have a good day everyone.

I was MIA yesterday but had a good day, food shop done, Costco before the weekend (always a bonus). Cooked some gammon to go in the freezer and for cold cuts, made some sausage rolls, sorted spare rooms for weekend visitors.

Today is a run round with the hoover, dust where needed, S&S kitchen and bathrooms then a mammoth wrapping session.

We are out for a Chinese Buffet tonight so lunch will be a small bite to eat - possibly a coffee and cake with a friend.

Deco - come home soon vibes to kitty
Narco - GWS to your OH
Dusty - what the heck is Yin Yoga, I am sure it is not a class run by Billy Connolly as I keep imagining
YL - have you tried asking at the pharmacy. I got some super stuff and now feel like a different person, I always suffer with sinuses after a cold
LW - it is such a pain when the boiler needs servicing, my DH is a heating engineer so ours only gets serviced when something stops working. Hope your new hand exercises are helping.
JTTOU - not eaten chocolate for 25 years:eek: How did you manage that?

Just reading the local news and it is so sad, a 12 year old killed crossing a dual carriageway at peak time when there is no need - there are plenty of underpasses all of which are well lit, a multi car accident this morning involving cutting gear. Also one piece of good news about Team George ( a local charity), the parents have had a new wee one.

Hugs, spoons and sticks to all who need them. Stay safe out there.

    Gilly x

Gilly yin yoga is wonderful. Google it. You take a yoga pose, mainly ones to release the hip joints and hold it for 5 minutes whilst concentratin on your breathing. As a friend of mine sold it to me, you come out of the class and walk around like you are on diazepam. Great if you have a chattering mind and tight hips which is 100% me.

In bird news two mistle thrushes have just arrived in my front garden, the berries must be now to their choice of ripeness.
