just a little reminder to all of us that this time of year has its challenges, and sometimes just acknowledging that takes the pressure off.

Good post Bossy. Christmas with our son can be tricky so we just have to go with the flow and be realistic about it. Its good to know that we are not the only ones just making the best of it.

Glad the cat is home and hoping everything is OK with your OH Narco.

I need to go and put some clean sheets on our bed before I forget!

Apart from the other Christmas cards I need to write, I think I'm done for the year. I normally do them first, but somehow they are just lurking there, all malevolently, and I haven't had the courage to tackle them. Laters. I have, in the long ago past not got around to posting them until Boxing Day ....
Come on, HB. Those cards are a pretty green Frog sitting on your plate waiting to be eaten. *Passes cruet set* Here you are, put some seasoning on it and get noshing.:rotfl:
At which point I shall confess I [STRIKE]bullied[/STRIKE] bribed Mr LW to write ours.....

Thanks to all of you. I have just come back from hospital, he is in intensive care minus about 2m of intestine. I was able to speak to the surgeon who was very positive about the prognosis. Luckily I have my lovely brother staying with me. Chris will be in hospital for at least a couple of weeks but at least he is there, thank God.

Narco- glad to hear your OH is doing ok. It's nice to have family support at times like these.

Hubby got home from work tonight and moaned about the state of the house! :(
I decided to prioritise and catch up with some wrapping while ds1 wasn't at home. Then it was school pick up time and we went to the school fete. I had left all the wrapping stuff out and the hallway was full of,school bags and swimming stuff and the living room had some toys out. It was messy but it upset me to hear. I wanted to say but the kids have got clean bedding and the cupboard under the stairs is tidy!- but thought that was a bit petty!!

Ran loads of errands today, and did a couple of hours of wrapping. So now I am finished!!!!! Yay! Even done the stocking presents! Just got two more presents to buy and wrap but can't get one of them until next week!

    My updated list-

    Declutter house!
Whimsical Wednesday - Bathroom, Study and other grotty places!
Clean the loo and the bath and the shower and the basins!
    Declutter and vacuum/mop floors

Won't get chance to do this tomorrow as we are out for most of the day so will have to catch up on Sunday!
    Grocery challenge-

Just getting my ducks in a row. Yesterday was lost to bluergh ness. Am going to the gym after I finish work in 2 hours and will be finished by 9. Then to pop and get some heavy duty mildew remover spray which I can use in the shower and downstairs loo walls.
We are ALL home this weekend so will have enough bodies to juggle woofer entertaining.
I absolutely MUST get light bulbs. DD took herself off to bed at 4 pm having been at home asleep on the sofa all day. She's decided she can't do her weekend away with cadets so I know she's poorly. I went to her room and said "Dad's gone to Asda, is there anything you want?". Her reply? "light bulbs!". She then pointed at her ceiling to show that she only has one working. Poor child!
