Thanks for all your support. Just a quick update to say that unfortunately they have decided to operate after all and he's just gone into theatre. I've been sent home with instructions to ring later.

    Glad Deco's cat returned.
    thanks all.

    Morning all

He's home hungry and very wet but otherwise absolutely fine. He came back about 7.15 this morning.

From a very tired but very very happy and relieved Deco x
I am so pleased; it's just a shame the little toerag can't tell you what he's been up to!:D It certainly does sound like he got shut in somewhere, though.

LW - it is such a pain when the boiler needs servicing, my DH is a heating engineer so ours only gets serviced when something stops working. Hope your new hand exercises are helping.
I hate having workmen in.... but these are chaps we use a lot - we first came across them when our old boiler died in December 2012 - so I'm sort of used to them. Same crew fitted my new kitchen. And it now transpires that the head honcho:D also organises outdoor work and knows someone he'll personally recommend who does sheds, so come spring, I shall get Mr LW to give him a call re getting the patio re-laid and a new shed put up, which is the next urgent job - the shed's going to fall down soon, and the patio is very uneven; I've taken several falls on it over the course of the last couple of years, so it's high time we sorted it.

Successful op vibes for him, and calm coping vibes for you. Try not to worry; and yes, I know that's easier said than done.

I've finally finished reloading everything onto the pc. Still need to update 0pen 0ffice on the laptop (done the netbook) but that isn't desperately urgent.

Oh gosh narc0 you much be so worried - try and keep busy and fingers crossed he'll be out in no time with a good news phone call for you x

We've been out for a walk to the postbox. It's freeeezing! But we I have got a touch of cabin fever and the kids were winding me up :p so I thought we'd do well to get out. So we posted the cards I've written - all 5 of them. I don't really do cards if I can help it.

Bit of kids room tidying and washed my bedding. Finished the mistletoes gifts. Still a bit of DR tidying to be done and I want to get the steam mop out tonight, although was planning on doing some work emails.

MIL has said she will pick up a gammon as we haven't managed to get one this week, so need to leaver her some money - she's staying here for the kiddies while I work away Mon/Tue.

LR looks like toys r us has barfed on it :(

Off to hide in the kitchen...

narc0lepsy Hugs, and successful surgery wished for DH.

    Deco So pleased for you!

    Dusty :j:j:j Well done you!

Just having a well earned rest, bit of reading and cup of tea. No list flying, although I have done all the rooms this week, except DS1's and DD's, which they do themselves.
This morning, I did the first coat of paint in the bathroom, after removing all the fixtures that I could - which took much longer than I thought. The cutting in also took ages, while the main rollering bit was just 20 minutes! Obviously it's a bit patchy, but already looks so much better.
Then I helped pack for DS1's business, with DD and DS1 too. After lunch, a quick trip to B&Q to buy more paint, and a radiator roller, as mine has vanished in the garage. Also, bread, and a few Christmassy bits.

I have also received my Flylady Secret Santa, thank you very much! I look forward to seeing what surprises it holds. :D

    He's home

Total yay! Huge smile across my face. (Very sorry to hear about your missing girl, Frizzle, though.)

Healing vibes for Master Moo and Mr Narco and anyone else feeling under the weather or just needing a bit of TLC.

Various areas sorted and tidied, beds striped and things organised. Still racing around but almost there now, I hope.

Apart from the other Christmas cards I need to write, I think I'm done for the year. I normally do them first, but somehow they are just lurking there, all malevolently, and I haven't had the courage to tackle them. Laters. I have, in the long ago past not got around to posting them until Boxing Day ....
    Better is good enough.

Kitchen beautified, DW on, kiddies pj'd and given milk and a warning ;) LR is now a tad tidier too.

I thought I was doing ok this year, I do feel ready in practical terms for the festive period (we've even worked out sleeping arrangements) but I think the emotional side may be snapping at my heels. The good thing is, now I've realised what's eating me, it will probably be ok :) just a little reminder to all of us that this time of year has its challenges, and sometimes just acknowledging that takes the pressure off. I might be able to make some magic for the littlies, but I don't have to feel the magic all the time. And that's ok.

Cup of hot vimto will sort me out ;)

    Evening everyone.

    Work clothes flung in washer.
    Cat tray cleaned.
    Dishes washed.

A&E just seems to get busier and busier. I really don't know how the staff do it. It's been like this for ages.

Just decluttering cuppa then need to write some more cards and maybe wrap a bit more.

Deco So pleased to hear he has come back. That's great news.
NarcO Thinking of you and your DH.
  • Evening all

Narco hugs for you and I hope your DH is ok post surgery
Bossy hugs for you too, get well soon vibes for Master Moo

WM on - I've put the dryer part of WM on to try and get my bedding dried tonight.
LR, hallway, stairs, landing, kitchen and sun room vacuumed
Landing, shower room, kitchen and sun room floors steam cleaned

Vets have been notified he's been found.

Any early night for me, hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

    Deco x
