  • Hello all

New carpet and flooring was fitted today. Sun room was cleared and vacuumed this morning.

No news on devil cat. I'm devastated, I know I've been through worse but still. I did a leaflet drop this evening asking people to check sheds and outbuildings etc. I've emailed local radio stations, done a Twitter appeal thats had 40+ retweets. Put it on my local fb page and asked my friends to share his picture. Local vets have been notified. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Need to put a load in WM

Dusty - hope it all went well
Bossy - it really is a lovely group, thanks again for organising

Deco hugs sweetie, I cannot think of anything else, so sad.

    Narco healing vibes for DS

Been to school carols, helped DS3 with his homework, did roast chicken for dinner - exhausted now so off to bed in a minute.

Thanks for all your good wishes, I cannot tell you the outcome but we are very happy and inspector was reportedly very impressed by me so all worth the effort (of not just the past 2 days but 4 years for me).

When mine went missing I also contacted the RSPCA and my local council (in case they had swept him up :( ). Hope you find him soon

Deco when my late Ollie went missing last year as well as doing some of what you have done I also put a post up on my local FB page, and also our local Cats Protections FB page. Although it wasn't needed as 72 hrs later the monster was only 100 yds away in the park hedge opposite the end of our road.

I do hope he comes home very soon, sending you huge hugs and lots cat come home vibes xxx

I've posted to a local cat charity's fb page. When I moved here, my dearly departed old grump cat went missing and someone had taken him there. His disappearance means that all my cats are microchipped as the cat charity said he'd have been back to me within 24 hours. Errant cat is microchipped so if he's handed in somewhere, they can find me.

    I'll ring the council tomorrow.

I'm absolutely shattered as I'm not sleeping that well. Fingers crossed he comes home tomorrow, Christmas really will have come early.

Deco, I've got nothing to add to everyone else's suggestions other than More Homing Vibes, as everything I was going to suggest you've already done, or has been added. Huge (((hugs))) for you. This may be a small crumb of comfort - our ghastly neighbours adopted a 'stray' cat and wouldn't get it microchip-checked for months in case the owner wanted it back, so your much loved cat may have been 'rescued' by a well-meaning but stupid and mean-spirited person. It happens.

Our Devil Cat had been a screaming stray for six months when I took him in - scrawny, huge head, entire male, absolutely terrified, no microchip in the middle of winter on a foul night. I think there had been Cat Lost posters around the area about a year before, but they were all long gone by the time this little chap turned up. I'll never know if he was that lost cat.

It sounds as though congratulations are in order, Dusty.

Two more people squeezed into the house overnight, much to OH's disgust - they are nubile young wenches and he's not here to enjoy their company.

We're slightly further ahead on the Christmas arrangements than we usually are at this point, but I don't feel I've stopped running just to try and keep up. I rather fear in other areas I am seriously falling behind. My wretched frog from earlier in the year has resurfaced and I should have got cracking on it again last Friday. Whoops.

I've stupidly arranged to be in another town at the crack of o'sparrow fart tomorrow morning which is a major oversight on my part. In my defence I was zonked out on dental Temazepam when I agreed to it, so it sounded like a good idea at the time. It doesn't now, obviously.
    Better is good enough.

(((Hugs))) Deco. I hope you get some sleep tonight x
    More (((hugs))) for Narco x
Well done Dusty and the school :T

Have had a day full of meetings today - makes a nice change from horse piddle appointments - which also involved a fair amount of driving in bad weather, but all has gone well. I managed to go shopping at lunchtime and buy myself some pyjamas because I've been feeling so cold at night.

I have posted all our Christmas cards, apart from the dozen that can be hand delivered. I don't think I've ever got all my cards in the post before 17th December before :xmassmile

Tomorrow will be a busy day again with my friend needing to go to the hospital for height and weight checks, the I've got a Christmas dinner with the NT staff and volunteers, and now I'm babysitting DGD1+2 in the evening :)

Flying will resume on Saturday :D
  • bathroom done :D kids didn't get a bath though sadly because severn trent water decided to make our water suspiciously yellow for a bit this evening :eek::mad::mad:

AND......we are nit-central again so we need to get back to the combing :mad::mad::mad::eek:

Presents to date have been wrapped - I think I may have overestimated the wrapping paper..... I think I'll probably get through 1 of the 12m rolls and 1 x 5 m roll of nice shiny paper, but the other 2 x 12m rolls will last us for the next 2 christmasses :o

DH has put the recycling and the bins out tonight, we're still enjoying the novelty of wheelie bins :rotfl: so sad.... last week my facebook was all full of bin news and questions. I live such a rock and roll life

DH has tomorrow off so we are christmas shopping and might brave a trip into town

much love to cats and humans (((hugs)))
