Early good morning to you all.

Decided to stop reading last night and get up early today, already done 45 minutes with my first cuppa.

Back to my 60 page data document now for my 3rd read and annotation.

Lovely DH has tidied the kitchen for me last night.

LW hope you go on ok last night, I was back seeing my concultant after my biopsies, all is fine.

Ionafan glad your friend's treatment is at least planned to start now.

Friend got through second surgery ok. She will be disucussing 3rd op this morning.

I need to see the Big O at 12:15. Thinking if I can finish reading by 6:30 I can get to Lidl between 8 and 8:30 to get neice's christmas present (on special deals), go to yin yoga in the village in the opposite direction for 9:30, come home, gather my thoughs and get to the meeting all chilled out for 12. Yes I have lost the plot!

Have a good day flyladies, I shall not fly today, may even get to visit friend after meeting and before school carols in the church tonight -need to spend some serious time with my own family this weekend to make up I think.

Morning dustyhope it all goes swimmingly today and you can get some rest by the weekend xxx

Well we have been up over an hour - DS again. Bless him. So on checking him he feels like he's on fire. Oh dear. 39.7deg  Nurofen administered at about 4.30 and it's coming down now. But we none of us can get back to sleep for the wind howling! Doh!

So we are watching Madagascar. And I'm on :coffee: number two. So the gammon hunt is cancelled, day at home today. Still hoping to get flying sorted and WM is on already!

    Hope the day improves...

Morning all. Hope DS is feeling better soon Bossy.

I'm being taken off by DH for nice things for a couple of days and so far today have just been on here to print off hotel booking and trying to send a tweet from my phone. Techie no good me and new to twitter haha.

Before we leave later, I must pack and walk the dogs and DH has requested a cooked breakfast. Flying? What's that.......

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning everyone.

    More wrapping done last night.

Three accidents in the local area last night. There have been so many the past few weeks. Weather conditions are not good here.
Today it's the living room and then meeting DD for lunch and shopping. Not going to my voluntary job tonight. Thought I would get the cards done.

Hugs, spoons, sticks and healing vibes where needed.
  • Morning - I agree with you Jazee!!! What's flying.

Have read back very quickly - so hugs and whatever each of you need from me with love. x

Have crushed the biscuits for the "utterly decadent chocolate torte" base and need to prep the tin and do that before going to ch shop this am. Not sure how I'll be without my ballast in this wind though!!!!!

We had to go out to get a new set of lights as I decided I had to put up the hall tree or else it wouldn't feel like Xmas - and it'll be bad enough without Ds anyway. Blow me the lights didn't work!!

Anyway it was a blessing because we got to go to Barton Grange in the dark and their Xmas display is absolutely magical!!!

Need to pick up some bananas on way home and have just done my rest of month meals list so only need lamb shanks and steaks for Xmas Eve and Day.

The M*irror has a £15 off £75 Al*I voucher in today which can be used up to Xmas Eve.

Pm I'll be doing the rest of the torte and putting up the other tree so DH can then put the empty boxes in the loft.

    Have a great day. x

Thanks for the tip, JTTOU :T

Calming vibes to you, Dusty, and healing vibes to your friend.
GWS vibes to Master Moo - hope he soon gets back to being his normal bouncy Master Roo :j
    Enjoy the break, Jazee

I have already flown as much as I can today. I have 2 meetings in cathedral city with an hour for shopping and lunch between, then home to see a friend who's making a 50-mile detour to call on us, and choir this evening. Last night we wrote all the Christmas cards except the local ones for hand delivery, and I have a packet of cards and a bag of presents to give to said friend to take back to our old home town, which will save me several £££ postage :money:

Hope everyone stays safe and warm today x

My school nurse friend says their advice is 5 drinks before 5 - if you can - my ds doesn't drink at school :( he'll have the carton of milk, and maybe a sip at lunchtime but thats it. He takes a water bottle and it comes home full every day. I've been trying to give him a cup of watered down fruit juice with breakfast, then a drink as soon as he gets in, but he loves his milk at bedtime - so that would be the one to stop for us if we were to make a serious attempt on his bladder. At the moment I can't cope with the washing :D

    .

My daughter wet almost every night until she was nearly 13. Enuretic clinic say 7x 250ml drinks between getting up and 6pm.. clear fluids.. not fizzy, not blackcurrant and milk doesn't count as a drink. Avoiding acidic drinks like fresh orange, lemon, orange or blackcurrant squash.. ours suggested apple juice but she didn't like it. Squeak could only drink cherries and berries which was only available in Tesco until very recently or her bladder would get sore. Squeak is 4 and still wets every night, Dot is 3 and hasn't wet for months.. but she won't go to bed without a pull up so we just go with it.. if it helps her sleep we will do it she sleeps very little as it is!

DD3 had tablets to help with her irritable bladder during the day which worked wonders, she went from wetting 5-6 times a day to none at all in just a few weeks. The night time tablets were a waste of time, alarms didn't work, nothing worked until she wanted it to.. I just put a full plastic cover on the mattress and so long as she took off any wet bedding nothing was said.. it did annoy me when it would get to bed time and she'd say 'my bed is wet'

Lifting them to take them to the loo is frowned upon as it teaches them to wee while asleep, they need to be fully awake and alert when they go at night.. though I usually stumble there with my eyes shut.. resulting in numerous speedy trips downstairs.. that wakes me up lol.

In every year 6 class there are usually 1 or 2 children who wet the bed still. In reception class about 1/4 of children wet the bed regularly. We don't need to stress, they all get there in their own sweet time!!

DD2 had a mate who still occasionally wet the bed at 13/14. I was always told when she came for sleepovers for birthdays that she would deal with it herself.

Boys are generally skightly worse than girls on being dry at night. There is a useful link here http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/bedwetting/Pages/Introduction.aspx

bossymoo - if he is fine during the day I would just go with the pullups for now.

Thanks ladies, it does feel like it's pushing him unnecessarily - it's not like he has accidents at school. Pull-ups it is.
