Morning All
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Dusty I think it's mudbath I share a birthday with - I don't think it's valli.
CY - hope your DD had a great 21st - I'd forgotten she shared the same birthday as me.
Well I didn't do much flying yesterday - food shopping and a load of washing and that was about it! I'm hoping to get a few jobs done tonight so we'll see how it goes.
Have a good day all
Hugs

morning all! Just grabbing 5 minutes to myself before I start the hurley burley.
DD2 had a fantastic day yesterday (in direct contrast to her night out with her mates) - work had decorated with banners and balloons and cake, so she had a great time. Our trip to the local Slug and Lettuce threatened to be affected when they routinely asked DD2 for ID. she was wearing an enormous badge with 21 on and deeley boppers proclaiming the same! Thankfully common sense prevailed and DD2 was able to have her birthday cider (she hadn't taken her bag because the bank of dad was paying!)
By last night DS was starting to feel an improvement in his tonsillitis. He is not at work today, though.
So today DD2 and b/f are heading to Paris (fingers crossed for the trains) and I have to help serve Christmas lunch to the hoards. Then all the supervisors sit down and have our own special lunch.
And finally tonight is the last night of my writing course. I have really enjoyed it. I must finish off my short story, so I can hand it in! I have signed up for another one - I'm hoping that enough other people sign up so that it actually runs.
so yes, I guess flying will be minimal today. There's always tomorrow....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning!
Remade DS bed only for him to shout me that he's wet againoh dear. Actually turned out was a dribble on his pjs and his bed is dry.
Any tips on bed wetting? He is 5 (but not for long) and seems to go to the loo hourly during the day. I try not to restrict his drinks too much after school as he doesn't seem to drink much in school. Even when I lift him late in the evening he still wets...
He doesn't seem bothered, and I don't tell him off but he does have to get himself undressed and wiped and some dry things on. I don't know if he just can't be bothered to get up as it's usually morning, rather than middle of the night. Doh.
Anyway. Today is mammoth paid stuff day so no flying and will catch up tomorrow. Want to get LOADS done!Bossymoo

Morning all. Only flying here yesterday was putting up the Xmas tree. Looks lovely though so I've already switched it on this morning.
Bossy - probably teaching you to suck eggs, but a reward system worked when DS was little. I agree though with not telling them off.
Deco - hope kittie is home safely
Dancemum - Wizard cake
Hugs to anyone who needs them. Ironing for me this morning before the paid stuff. Last day till next week as DH is taking me away for a couple of days.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

DS1 would have an occasional accident but got a lot worse when he started school, just because he was so tired I think. I think he was about 6 or 7 when I eventually went to the doctors, with my sons agreement that we needed to do something. The surgery lent us one of those alarms which you put under the sheet and beeps when moisture hits it and within a couple of weeks he was dry and never looked back.
DS2 seemed to have a bladder the size of an acorn and couldnt drink strong squash, too much fizzy or too much liquid at once. I used to worry because he would have the occasional daytime accident right through primary school. He just grew out of this in the end and I agree its hard not to get annoyed but you just have to be very calm about it all.
Anyhow, my kids bladders aside its going to be another fairly busy day and this cold seems to be getting worse, not better!
CY glad your daughter had a nice time. I used to get asked for ID a lot, but those days have gone sadly.
Deco is the cat home?
Right, need to move myself.0 -
I think we might go with pj pants until the end of next week, then in the hols we can tackle it. He will be more rested and I can make sure he gets the fluids durin the day. He does seem to have a really tiny bladder, lol. DD can go all day without needing the loo - balloon bladder we call her lolBossymoo

CY glad your DD had the day she deserved yesterday and I hope today goes smoothly travel wise.
Deco I hope puss is home
Very tired, bed too late, collected DS1 from the station at 1am, he felt unwell at 3am so up then, dustcart outside at 5:30.
More documents to read today but out with a friend walking at 8:30 which I need to clear my head.
I won't be required in person until tomorrow but obviously in school in spirit. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning everyone.
Got some more presents wrapped last night. Thought if I did a few a night it would be better than a last minute panic.
Today I need to get to the post office and do some shopping and nip to the bank. DD coming for lunch with the cat. He likes to have some of the ham out of her sandwich. Lol.
Flying wise I will see what I can get done and look at the lists. I'm at SW later then my friends. Need to see what the weather is like. It's blowing a hooly here.
Belated birthday greetings for the birthday Flypeople yesterday.
ionafan Hope you manage to get your friend to eat some more soup.
Deco Cat home vibes sent.
Hugs, sticks and spoons where needed.0 -

Hugs to all needing them.
Thoughts with Dusty and school - I know that feeling too!
Belated birthday wishes.
Well done on weight loss Iona and DH.
Only managed to put up one tree yesterday then went out for our evening meal. The weather is awful again with more flood warnings!
Plan today to catch up as it is the only full day at home this week.
