Just back in from doogie walk and its cold out there.
Have got most of the middle room cleared but got way layed sorting clothes and putting away in my bedroom. That was getting side tracked from the middle room where I had to take the clothes from as DH uses it as a laundry room as well as garage. Just needs a hoover and a dust until the weekend when I will probably have a flinging session when DH is away visiting friends in the lakes (think old TV, mismatching furniture etc)
He must have felt guilty about me taking time off to clean house as he started doing little jobs as well and has done some bits and pieces in the utility room.
Plan for now is Put some dinner in - pulled pork in rolls with chips tonight I think. Then finish middle room and then start in kitchen and dining room.
Catching up
Is it the O word Dusty

I really meant to say:
Happy birthday JulieJim and CY's DD. I will copy and paste smilies as appropriate when I get a moment (which may not be until tomorrow) but in the meantime :cake: and many happy returns.
Some stuff done, more stuff to do. So glad your friend took some soup Ionafan, that's one corner turned. Good luck with it, Dusty.
I just wanted to say this. OH is theatre through and through - he used to be an actor/singer/dancer. He's been working with a local primary school, and on his third or fourth visit there they were surprise Ofsteded. He absolutely loved having a new member of the audience absolutely focussed on him! Couldn't understand why everyone else didn't thoroughly enjoy the day.Better is good enough.0 -
Ionafan great news on the soup, you are a wonderful friend.
KazM yes the big O
Did 15 minutes ironing to rest my brain from data.
Sorting food now and then it will be a long evening ahead. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Happy Birthday Julijim and cy's dd. :bdaycake:
Dusty Kitten I know exactly how you feel. When I worked in schools I hated the running around panicking for days. I prefer the way it is in nurseries, where they just turn up on the doorstep.
I'm glad your friend had something to eat Ionafan. When I was in hospital I just didn't feel like eating and the food was completely unappetising. They even got the dietician involved. When I got home and felt more like myself, with food that tasted good. I started eating again.

Iona, I want you to be my friend.
Note written on the notice board.. XMAS TREE UP... So I responded...
I am not putting a tree up this year, I feel unloved, unappreciated and fed up. If you want me to change my mind that has to change first.
And I am sticking to my very sticky guns!!
Been to see Squeak in her play.. it was pretty dreadful if I am honest.. it is the first I have experienced at that school.. the former failed to impress at everything but it's plays were always very good, very nicely organised and enjoyable.. this just wasn't!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good luck with school for the next couple of days Dusty
Glad your friend has eaten something ionafan
Can I have cat coming home vibes please? My devil cat (actually, despite his size he's still a kitten) hasn't come home for his tea. He's normally there on the back step demanding food as he has a big appetite. I've been out calling for him and shaking the biscuits but still no sign. I'm worried :-(

HHC turned into an hour:T:j I have done most things bar cleaning the fridge and sweeping and mopping - will do that when I get the hoover out to do the rest of downstairs and the stairs - maybe tomorrow. It needs doing but its not desperately grim. I've made big inroads on the utility room - wiped down my 2 slow cookers and the stand mixer, whilst doing so, noticed a catty niff..........
yep, the cat-finks have peed in the washing basket again :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
luckily it was empty of all but a few bits of washing after the assault on it yesterday.
Washing basket is now on the patio :rotfl:
its quite uncleanable really being seagrass and really quite large...... I might replace with a big tub trug which I can at least thoroughly disinfect if this is going to happen again.0 -
Deco cat be home vibes winging your way.
Proof read another document - stop laughing I know my posts are full of errors but I'm good at reading and amending others' documents!
