aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh - I need more hours in the day!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thank you Dusty.
Living room 1 finished by
Hoovering and washing under remaining furniture
Tidied cables along the skirting with much use of double sided duck tape (took ages)
Damp dusted all surfaces
Removed remaining clutter
Hoovered and washed rest of floor
Watered rest of plants
Cleaned the door glass with white vinegar
Forget to cobweb but we dont mind spiders and Gilbert lives in the living room somewhere so wouldnt want to destroy anything he might have built (although nothing obvious I hasten to add)
Time for another coffee (dont have time for lunch) then tackle the garage - think DH guessed what was coming as he has removed his bicycle but doesnt know everything else will be going as well.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Just got to the end of the 60 page Raiseonline document, released today and the phone rang - school sec they have had the call.
Those who work in school or who are governors will know exactly what I mean. Life is now suspended for 36 hours. So hope my friend does not need me tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Today's list:
[STRIKE]- SW[/STRIKE] - I lost 2.5 lb this week and DH has lost 7 lb in 2 weeks
[STRIKE]- tidy kitchen table[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- make soup for lunch[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- remove birthday cards display and put up Christmas cards in their place[/STRIKE]
- post office
- food shopping
- garden centre with DH for a cuppa and to buy bits
- check second resource box: I think I only need wire for the sail and a CD-RW
- pack 2 parcels
- tidy study
- write more of my Christmas cards: after yesterday's trip to the PO where I paid £4.43 to send 4 cards overseas and one to the other side of Birmingham, I shall be sticking to email cards for most of my German friends
Progress of sorts
Am about to go shopping and will visit my friend en route. She has not eaten properly for over a week so I am taking her half a mug of my hm soup and insisting that she has it while I am there, otherwise she will end up in hospital on a drip. At this point I think I have to be cruel to be kind0 -
Hugs Ionafan, yes you need to be cruel, gentle reminders take another sip whilst chatting to her, thinking of you both, I know how hard it is.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I have been busy, busy, busy! ( could do with a running around in circles smiley here)
Living room Done! I'm all out of sequence here.
Cloakroom Done!
I have also (drumroll) painted the bathroom ceiling.Tomorrow I hope to get the window frame stained and varnished.
DD delivered and then picked up from preschool, then after lunch we went to a local farm shop. It is a stockist for a particular local jam that DS1's girlfriend loves, so I wanted to get some for Christmas. The shop also had a great selection of other local goodies, great for presents, so we added those, and then some chutney and locally grown apples.
Just written my long list for the week, and about to do some of the bits on it.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Happy Birthday to juliejim and CY's DD
Just back from paid stuff, so no flying yet, although MIL stripped DS bed, suspect there may have been aa little leakshe has washed them and hung on airer but it's been so cold. I've just put them in the airing cupboard and will remake his bed later.
Upstairs lights were left on all day
Just popped some tea in oven for the littlies, and will go collect them from club in 10min. Thought I'd check in for the list and say hi.
WFH tomorrow :T have heaps to get through, and need to be at nursery for 2 for DDs "stay n play" so suspect I will be working in the evening... Never mind. If I can get everything off my plate in the next week I can start my holidays with nothing hanging over me for new year...
Right, I'll go set the table, then collect the wee ones.Bossymoo

Happy birthday to your DD2, CY.
Drumroll for serena.
Another drumroll for Honey Bear.Am about to go shopping and will visit my friend en route. She has not eaten properly for over a week so I am taking her half a mug of my hm soup and insisting that she has it while I am there, otherwise she will end up in hospital on a drip. At this point I think I have to be cruel to be kind
Her son had said exactly the same to her about finding herself back in hospital. I said I would be phoning the specialist nurse myself and asking her to get my friend admitted if she didn't eat and drink more. I think she has understood why we are so concerned.
I have said I will take her some soup every day and will expect her to eat it. Tomorrow it will be chicken and mushroom
The trip to the garden centre with DH has been postponed again because by the time I got home it was 4.30.
Still to be done today:
- cook veg curry for tea
- check second resource box
- pack 2 parcels
- tidy study
- write more of my Christmas cards
The PO clerk asked "for security reasons" what my enormous parcel contained and wasn't content with my answer of "Resources for a study course" so I gave it to her in full: "A plastic boat, wooden mast, fabric sail, old Camembert box made into a mock-up of a ship's compass, 2 lengths of fabric, 2 plastic beakers, 5 pieces of wood of various lengths, various sheets of paper and card of different shapes and sizes (some of them laminated), plastic bags, and 20 mini-compasses." "And the value?" "Nothing. If it goes missing I will just make some more." "Oh........ OK then.... That will be £2.80 second class, please."" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
