    Happy Birthday juliejim

    Morning everyone

I have already made a packup breakfast for us to eat after weigh-in (devious ;) ), done some dailies and had my shower. Just waiting for DH, then we're off.

    Today's list:
    - SW
    - tidy kitchen table
    - make soup for lunch
    - pack 2 parcels
    - post office
    - food shopping
    - garden centre with DH for a cuppa and to buy bits
    - tidy study
    - remove birthday cards display and put up Christmas cards in their place
    - check second resource box: I think I only need wire for the sail and a CD-RW
    - write more of my Christmas cards: after yesterday's trip to the PO where I paid £4.43 to send 4 cards overseas and one to the other side of Birmingham, I shall be sticking to email cards for most of my German friends

Catch you all later...... DH is ready to go :D

Dusty - hugs for you and your friend - same to ionafan
HB - that is foul, had the guest been drinking?

I'm am yet another flylady who only did laundry yesterday!

Carpet fitter is hoping to come on Thursday  so I need to clear the sun room and shower room tonight (fingers crossed my washing will dry today with the bright sunshine warming the sun room). I got the money back from the decorator yesterday, so can get someone else to wallpaper the kitchen in the new year.

Need to move some money around today and order remaining xmas presents tomorrow.

    Have a great day all

  • Morning all! And Happy birthday to all celebrating. Today is DD2's birthday - she is 21! How on earth did that happen?

Her brother has gone to the doctor's with suspected tonsillitis.

Can we please ask for some flylady posivibes for the weather tomorrow. Strong winds are forecast and DD2 and her b/f are going to London and then on the Eurostar to Paris. Her b/f has tried so hard to make this a really special trip - we need the trains to be running tomorrow! (As does the rest of the nation I suspect)

House is a tip, but my nose has finally stopped dripping. Hooray!

Will spend much of today sorting out DD2, but will be back flying properly tomorrow.

    Have a great day !

PS Flylady cards are just about ready to go..

    Morning ladies :hello:

Havent been here for a while so big thanks for Dusty & Natty for keeping the thread going each week and to everyone else for hanging in there.

So today & tomorrow I have off work and todays plan is to blitz the house so that I can start going things for Christmas. Definitely miss being around you ladies as so far this year I have not bought a single present or made any plans what to eat despite having mum, dad and possibly big brother here for the first time - er ever! The ONLY thing I have done is ordered my turkey yesterday.

So today bouncing around the house at 7 instead of getting ready for work DH was not impressed, miserable git. Obviously excited at the thought of me being home all day (I hadnt told him as wanted to surprise him) but truth is you cannot leave a retired man to keep the house clean - they dont know how so he was probably dreading it.

Plan then - will have to use last weeks thread as I need to do as much of the house today as possible starting with the living room.

Anyone up for an hours challenge - back at 11 with :coffee:

Tuesday - living room, hallway, stairs
    15 minutes

    Clear the floor of clutter
Remove anything now which can give more space for putting the tree up (or tidy your tree if it is up)
Wipe the mantle and coffee table
    30 minutes to spare ...
Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room
Give the downstairs loo, sink etc a good clean
    Got an hour....
    Wash the windows
Sweep you step, tidy your porch and wash down the paintwork to make it welcoming
Write some cards if you need to

    Extras
Get yours overseas cards in the post some last dates are this week. Check dates here
Sort out toys/DVDs/books - any for re-homing before gifts arrive.

  • Internet connection at home - yay, I can post! :j

Good morning all, welcome newbies, welcome back and happy b'day Juliejim

Thanks Natty and Dusty for lists and am now wondering where to begin - I usually wake up any time between 5 and 7, and at least do something - but didn't open my eyes this morning till just before 9  which is unheard of! Had a lot of to and fro-ing to do yesterday which is probably why - tired myself out!

These next 3 paragrapahs are just waffle so I can get things in perspective and decide what needs doing and when. So, I have until about 11.45 to get some things done, then collecting a friend and heading to Lunch Club. Won't be back till about 2.30-3.

What was I originally planning to do today? Food shop, but that can wait until nearer the weekend; write cards - ditto; Lunch Club - can't miss that - it's the last one of the year today, so should be good!

Right, flying - better late than never - think I'll try and get as much done of yesterday and today's lists as possible, so I'd better get going.

    Hope to report back later.

De- mildewed the wall under the window (note job for maintenance list)
    Hoovered and wiped skirting boards
Hoovered both sofas and cleaned then leather fed
Sorted out my coookery magazines (how can I have lost 2 from what was a full set)

Huge (((hugs))) and coping vibes for Dusty and Ionafan. Both of your friends seem to be going through a horrible, horrible time, and it's hard seeing that happen.

Conversation with lodger had. Situation resolved. Flowers and hugs were involved.

Plumber has been again to sort out another leak. I heart this plumber.

Manic here. It sounds as though everyone on the Thread is running just to stay in the same place, never mind catch up with everyone else. Does that make all of us the The Red Queen?
    Better is good enough.
