Morning all, especially juliejim
Thanks for last week's list, Dusty and this week's, Natty. I'm in as much as possible.
We popped into town at lunchtime yesterday, found a parking space without difficulty and managed to get a few more Christmassy things
DGD2 enjoyed the pantomime, although I found the story over-complicated and the actors incredibly fast and loud. I think I've just got used to life at a slightly less fraught pace
In the evening I actually managed to write the cards that have to go long distances (Australia, N. America) as well as about a quarter of the rest - and got DH to sign them too and lick all the envelopesThe rest are still spread out on the coffee table, so I will write a few more each time I sit down with a :coffee:
Today I must also
- write 2 emails
- strip our bed as soon as DH gets up
- WMx3
- dust and hoover bedroom
- do the other dailies
- take my friend for an appointment with the GP
- sew a sail
- finish filling 2 resource boxes
- pack 3 parcels
- go to the post office
- shop for fruit, veg and a few other bits
- go to local garden centre for coupon bargains (and maybe a free cuppa)
- HHI this evening
Hope everyone has a good week. (((Hugs))) to everyone in need, especially Dusty and her friend, Mummyroys and mrs-mp, spoons to anyone who needs a bit of extra help, and sticks for all BDs. x0 -

It has taken me an hour to strip beds, collect and sort all the laundry for the laundrette, and in the process I have discovered a wet bed. !!!!!!. These are professional adults. The only smelly person we had prior to this year was a French student who was disgustingly smelly but this is utterly ridiculous. And revolting.
This year has been a total shocker with smelly people topping my 'never again' poll, but the soaking wet bed is just *bleargh* And it's someone we both like!
I know of a B&B that chose to go out of business because hen and stag parties resulted in wet beds on a regular basis but I honestly thought we'd never have that problem.Better is good enough.0 -
oh no HB:eek: thats the pits really
is the mattress salvageable?
I have done the pet area and some washing...... I thought the litter tray was a bit niffy so went to investigate - it appears a cat has decided to wee under or around or even in the washing basket (I really can't tell!) as I found a semi dried up puddle of it under the basket - so it must have been last night
poorly girl had a great time at the new friends house and turns out her hubby does some carpentry - so I'm going to get him round to quote for building a window seat in the front bay and maybe some loft storage soon0 -
