Anyway, can any of you beat my 205,000 ?
Sold a 1.9 Xantia (Diesel) many years ago with 330,000 on the clock, the new owner managed to put another 20,000 on it before the timing belt let go.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

I know a guy who once had a Saab 900; it went past 250k miles when he had it, and at least 100k of those were his. :)
My Mum's 1985 900 GLi had over 330k on it when she finally got rid of it.

    My 1999 9-5 has just passed 170k.

Regular oil & filter changes are essential.

The highest I got a car to was 207,00, Nissan Bluebird. I was doing a lot of hours at the time, never really serviced it, went like a rocket and earned me a ( relative ) fortune at the time.

Head gasket went on the M62 by Huddersfield.

Current 1.4 Combo van which I use in place of a car has just clocked 160,00 miles.

Slightly different, I sold a Renault Master last year with 365,000 on the clock and the engine was still sweet.

    Currently have a 2009 Mazda6 estate on 94,000

180k on my 2002 Fabia. It's been kept in very good nick by the previous owners, and I suspect if I took 150k off the clock and added 5 years to the number plate, nobody would bat an eyelid.

I'd expect it to get to 250k without trouble.

Before that was a Saab 9-3 still going strong at 195k I think. Only got rid of it because the fuel consumption was making me cry.
  • Under £10 for 5 litres of oil? !

I recently got 2 x Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 fully synthetic 5 litres for £5.90 each off Amazon. Bargain!

I bought my 1986 Audi coupe on 76k, and ran it daily until it showed 272k. It went off the road for a rest when the clutch went, but when we stripped the engine down it was very clean inside.
