All my cars have had high miles to a degree.
Peugeot 106 1.5 diesel.
Bought it with 140k on it, red lined it from cold daily for 3 years until the engine died with 174k on the clock (not sure what broke, but loss of power, loud ticking noises and burning lots of oil)
Corsa 1.5TD had 184k on it when it got wrote off. Got it with 150k on it. Engine was sweet as a nut on it. Never burned any oil and 3 years of use never had any issues on the engine side. Had it dynoed at approx 170k and still pulled strong and healthy.
Now i've a 1.9TDi Ibiza. Bought with 97k on it and now has 111k on it. Recently DMF and EGR are showing some issues and made 144Bhp with just a turbo back exhaust (standard is 130Bhp) so engine still very healthy. All your base are belong to us.0 -

Haha can't believe you actually redlined the car from COLD! I'm surprised it actually lasted that long0 -
It was slow but durable. I read some people on forums with them doing over 300k no problems when serviced properly.
Gearboxes were as soft as cheese though. I went through 3 in minesAll your base are belong to us.0 -

That's impressive, how often do you change the oil and what do you use, semi or full synthetic?0 -
