I finally did the sign this trip ...........I'm certainly glad we didn't bother paying for a taxi to do so. Very crowded and a little pointless.

Bobby you talked about the options from MGM to the Strat as taxi or walk - Most people if they didn't have a hire car would get the Deuce bus.

You do know there are 2 "Welcome to Las Vegas signs" ?

The other one is a definite drive ;)

Why cant you hear the fountains from the patio anymore?
Was thinking the other day that we need to head there next trip

Because they've turned the sound down, you can barely hear it if you are on the side road leading up to the Bellagio hotel reception.

I'm done with MAG, this is not the first time we have felt that the waiter thinks they are better than us (they must be doing roll play at being real French waiters)

Anyway off to a proper Restaurant tonite, Charlie Palmer at the Four Seasons. MJ tribute menu for Tracy and Cut of the week menu for me, 3 courses and unlimited wine, less than $100 total, get in there.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Enjoy your meal tonight at The Four Seasons stoneman.

We plan on visiting in a few weeks time, but as we have never eaten there before,I have always had one question I wanted answering.....hopefully you may be able to provide it.
Of the two menu options one states " including wine pairing"
The other option states " bottomless glass"
As you are having both options,I would appreciate any info regarding the wine.
It sounds like you get only a single glass of wine with the MJ but bottomless with COTW option.

We have had both of the menus a couple of times and I can assure you they keep your glass topped up all the time. Even when we have finished eating, paid the bill and sat listening to the music they keep coming around. Also if you prefer red to white you can ask them to serve the one you like with every course

Thanks for the tips Bobbyhibs and Duchy!

Yes I have read the first page and the various listings on there - this is a fab resource. As time is fairly limited I thought it would be useful to get the inside line on worthwhile sights so we can prioritise them and worry less about wasting time on underwhelming sights!

No worries always happy to try help people,i ve had loads of help from this site so only right to try help others i think !!

I think it depends on the person, as to what they are intrested in,, some people may enjoy partying all the time sorta thing, others may enjoy exploring, others may enjoy trying different kind of foods, so prehaps its best to know what you like and what YOU'D lole to do, i mean if you dont touch the booze(i dont by the way) going on booze tours(if there is such a thing in vegas) would not suite you,
Also check the mgm website on facebook if you have an account, and i think a site like vegas.com cos sometimes these big stars preform,... elton john, celion dion, britney spears and others sometimes preform in vegas and may be of intrest you?
    enjoy!!

    Hello,

I have been playing MyVegas for a while and got unto 155000 points. Our trip is in October.

What would you recommend to redeem to get my moneys worth?

    Thanks

    Ann-Marie
  • Just been looking at the changes to Tesco Clubcard credit cards after someone mentioned it the other day (think it might have been Lesley, but can't find the post now).

    http://www.expressandstar.com/business/uk-money/2015/09/03/tesco-to-slash-clubcard-rewards-for-2-8-million-credit-card-customers/

It's a bit rubbish, we'll be dropping from 1 point per £2 spent outside Tesco to 1 point per £8 - might be time to start using our Virgin cards more instead! Glad they haven't announced any changes to the wider scheme though (I do worry that one day they and VA will part ways!)

Yes, I did mention it. I think it only relates to their Clubcard Credit Card (and another credit card they run which might be older and I didn't know existed!). I read something about it on the MSE newsletter. I think instore points remain the same, so still to be had, just not as much from elsewhere.

All the good things seem to get reduced over time. :(

It depends on a couple of things. Are you one of a couple playing, or are there two of you playing, or travelling alone? Single buffets are cheap, but 2/1 area cheaper so if there's two of you and one will be paying do a 2/1. Bellagio is only 26,000 points for dinner, which I feel is a very good value.

Will you be driving? If so, there's some good rewards at GVR and Red Rock.

Are you staying at an MGM property? If so, you'll be able to buy the cheaper buffet rewards for MGM/Mirage guests. This would give you enough for a few breakfast. I highly recommend the MGM buffet - we had a couple of breakfasts and a dinner there, all very good!

    Hi guys,

I've seen some people mention about myvegas.com, is it worthwhile playing on this app? I've seen on their site they mention about rooms, buffets etc..

    Thanks!
