  • we got back from vegas a week or so ago and I'm hooked.
trying to convince mrs flybynight that we should go over chrsitmas.
are there likely to be any last minute deals, or is it pretty much a case of what you see now is what you get?
    saving for more holidays

Thanks pebbles for info regarding bus passes.

We will have a look at 7/11 near Ellis Island.
I just checked the list on the RTC site and saw that 7/11 wasn't listed, so I called them and they no longer sell the passes.

There seems to be three locations on S. LVB that are listed.

1705 Las Vegas Blvd S is Strip and Oakey, near the Chapel of the Flowers.
2000 Las Vegas Blvd S is around the Stratosphere area.
3001 Las Vegas Blvd S is Strip and Convention Center Drive, so just North of WynnCore near to Ross and Walgreen's.
3734 Las Vegas Blvd S location is closed. (Hawaiian Marketplace.)

I don't want you trailing down to Koval Lane for nothing.

    Thank you for that.

Yeah..those Las Vegas Blvd outlets are a bit out of our way.
I suppose we could just get a 2 hour pass, and go straight down to south transportation centre and buy them.
We were planning on going to Town Square shortly after we arrive anyway...we like the shopping there, then into Millers Ale House.

  • Hi

Just booked my 2nd trip to LV. Stayed at the Vdara the first time and staying at the Venetian this time around. Got a good 4 night deal in November paying around £1600 for the two of us including direct flights.

Just seeing if there are any tips for the Venetian such as room requests, best retaurants (my wife is a vegetarian), best bars around, etc. I know its all subjective but though I'd ask anyway.

There are a few places with Vegetarian and Vegan options. Wynn has loads as Steve Wynn is Vegan. We were in Dal Toro at Palazzo the other week, and they have a Vegan menu as well. I ordered from the normal menu, I had the tomato pasta. My husband had something else, he can't quite remember what. He tried to order the veggie burger but they were out of them.

Wynn Buffet is good for veggies, as is Bellagio and MGM. Mirage doesn't have much, nor does Aria.

    It's bl00dy raining!

Just been to the new Summerlin mall complex, very nice. Set out like Town Square a bit but with much larger shops. Not the same stuff as the outlet places.
It's right next to Red Rock so you could do your shopping the over to RR for some eats and "serious gamblin"

From Platinum its 20 minutes by car.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Sorry about the weather.

Downtown Summerlin is very nice isn't it? It wasn't fully open when we last visited. I assume it's fully open now.

One of my redemptions took a while so I emailed TR through their website to check - they were very helpful :)
