thanks for the mini trip report duchy. i always love readin other peoples reports/experinces and hope to pick up new and wodnerful things to do in vegas, though i seem to learn new things and have to look up new things every other day, as some hotels like Tuscany i never had heard off( i tend to know most of the on strip hotels about my knowledge of vegas hotels)

A question for the forum,Is premium economy worth the extra £££s?
I can understand different airlines may be a tad different(a big gap difference?)
Just my brother and I have enquired about premium economy for our trip(we are flying with United airlines) and for our 4 flights(edinburgh-newark-vegas(2 flights) vegas-newark-edinburgh(2 flights here) and for premium economy it would be £269 EACH.

So anyone have expeirnce usuing premium economy (united airlines preferred) but im hoping many airlines, there may be some differences but not too major
many thanks for reading and for my many questions:beer:

On United it is Economy Plus, the service is identical to Economy but with more legroom. The seats are identical and because, in my view, United have fallen so far down in terms of service, I would begrudge giving them an extra penny. BA and Virgin are different, larger seats and in the case of BA's World Traveller Plus your main meal comes from the Business Class menu. I appreciate the UA is the main operator out of EDI and I used in the 1990's use them regularly but they are now my least favourite of any of the US carriers, and this seems to be the view of most US citizens as well. If you are over 6 feet tall, the extra legroom may make a difference, otherwise I wouldn't touch it!

hi and thank you very much for the detailed feedback
we flew with united the first time back in june(seems sooo loong ago) and well we got another deal with the travel agent and the flights are with united.
It was just an okay flight back in june, but we felt a bit cramped in the seats , , Its not so much the extra leg room what we are looking for is the width, i feel maybe adding another inch or 2 may help us, as we are not the most skinny of guys!
    But thanks for the feedback

DS2 is in Vdara at the moment. He says the hotel is great and the free and frequent tram (?) link makes up for the fact it isn't on the strip. I won't know exactly what he paid until next week, but I thought I would share the info.

I love the location of Vdara - it really might as well be on the strip as it's so easy to get to Bellagio/Monte Carlo/Aria

The Post Office CC people ring every time we buy a Groupon...I order one and say to my husband 'we shall expect the PO to be on the phone shortly'. It has never taken more than a few minutes to resolve for us, though.

Thanks for the reminder, we are making a substantial purchase at the Apple store next week using my PO card and it would as sure as I am strangling this ferret have been rejected.

Just rang them up and had it added as a note to my account. :T:T
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

love the Vdara. to be honest, Vdara/Aria might as well be called a strip casino... you're probably in the lobby quicker than some traditional 'strip' hotels. from the front door of the Vdara, you can be stood on the Strip in about 2mins :)

the citycenter monorail has 2 trains, simultaneously going in opposite directions... takes about 6 mins to do the Bellagio - CityCenter - Monte Carlo trip, so you should never be waiting more than a few minutes :)

All day drinks pass @ Rockhouse Venetian.
    Tickets to Hitzville
    Tickets to Beatles Show
    Tickets to Elvis Exhibition.....and
Tickets to Rock Of Ages Venetian.

We have since received an email saying Beatles @ PH is now closed, and we can pick any PH show we wish instead.
Add on Terry Fator show, and the "usual' Jersey Boys show bookings, and we have more shows this coming trip than any previous visits.

We did Rockhouse all day pass the other night and it was good! The band were great!! You are allowed wine on the groupon deal, but maybe not on their normal wristband so if you want wine be sure to ask while you have the groupon to hand rather than later :)

I had a couple of wines (well didn't drink all of the second one) before dinner (Dal Toro Groupon which was also good) then a couple of vodkas after dinner when we went back in. It was very quiet before dinner (dinner was 7pm) and after dinner we got seated then it started filling up.
