Sorry for your loss.My dad died 5years ago and only a couple of weeks later we stayed at the Bellagio,it didn't matter what time of the day it was every time we went out the fountains played that song. The thing was I burst into tears every time so poor hubby was a nervous wreck trying to rush us past or distract me in some way.....I think he was worried people going past seeing me distraught thought he was responsible in some way...he did get some dirty looks!

I lost my mum at the begining of the year and her fave place was Vegas, we spent some great times together there. She loved Walmart so found myself crying alot in Walmart this year! Must have looked very strange!

Having some groupon issues, saw a good deal plus had a $10 discount aswell, followed others advice and put vegas hotel and postcode for billing and it proceeded to block my card and hubby's card. Not only that I tried to pay for something on PayPal and that was blocked aswell(same card). After spending 1/2 hour on the phone to the fraud part of Nationwide did they finally lift the block on my card but did tell me it was the groupon issue that had caused it,so I am very wary of trying to use groupon again.

While we are on the subject of food here's the earl of sandwich link - newsletter sign up gets you a free sandwich within a month.
I had sent myself an email to remind me to do it as we go in June. Thanks again to the OP (can't remember who).

So excited for my trips now.

Going for 2 weeks on the 17th with 6 other lads. 3 are first timers. They all booked a large suite at the Elara but I'm staying in a Terrace One Bed at Cosmo on a comp. After 4 nights we go to LA for 3 days then back to Vegas for a week where I will be using Wynn and PH comp offers.

Alsp booked flights for the UFC McGregor fight in December. Hopefully be staying on a comp then as ive not arranged accomodation but will see how my play is on this trip.

Got a trip to Barcelona with my mum this weekend to worry about first. :)

    Thanks for the input

I SAID THANKS FOR THE INPUT :rotfl:

    That is sooooo funny :D:rotfl:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Yes, twice. Once for me and once for OH.
Our trip was early June so signed up a couple of weeks before that, vouchers were valid for a month.

The Post Office CC people ring every time we buy a Groupon...I order one and say to my husband 'we shall expect the PO to be on the phone shortly'. It has never taken more than a few minutes to resolve for us, though.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Yeah...same here with the groupon.

We bought a groupon deal for the first time for our upcoming trip, used the Post Office card, and it was declined.
As Ferf says though,it was soon sorted with a phone call.

We have actually gone a bit nuts since that first one,as we now have 5 groupons to use while we are there.....all the other four went through without issue.
    We have bought
All day drinks pass @ Rockhouse Venetian.
    Tickets to Hitzville
    Tickets to Beatles Show
    Tickets to Elvis Exhibition.....and
Tickets to Rock Of Ages Venetian.

We have since received an email saying Beatles @ PH is now closed, and we can pick any PH show we wish instead.
Add on Terry Fator show, and the "usual' Jersey Boys show bookings, and we have more shows this coming trip than any previous visits.

Yes, I used it in July. Thought I would have to pay tax but nothing to pay, free sarnie!:j

Haven't had an Earl for a couple of years and although still very tasty didn't seem to be quite as good, a little bit greasy and there wasn't a meatball choice on the menu which I used to like.

Greetings from my balcony at the Tuscany
We booked a standard room and when checking in I asked for a room with easy outside access as we were a mix of smokers and non. He offered me a balcony room for $20 a night which I accepted but then he decided to comp it :)
We all love the Tuscany so peaceful yet walkable to the Strip even in this heat (actually I'm the only one of the three of us who has walked it as we have a car).

We used one of the MyVegas comps today the C-bed at Red Rock - although it'll give four people access I wouldn't want to put more than three on one of the beds- came with four comp waters but the tax/gratuity was extra at just under $30 which was still a bargain. The bed was canopied (much needed today) and you can have it from 9am until 7pm.
I really liked Red Rock - hadn't been there before -liked the buffet too and the casino. I think we'll definitely stay there for part of a trip on a future visit.
