Don't think I've posted much since we moved to Wynn. Have been quite busy.
Tuesday 1st we arrived at Wynn. We had Green Valley Ranch breakfast before an hour or so at the pool, then over to Wynn. Went out shopping for the afternoon after checking in and unpacking. Then back and did Wynn Buffet for dinner, with the drink pass. The dinner was included in our room rate, so we just had to pay for the drink pass. Great buffet, and nice bubbles as well! Wandered into Venetian and sat at the machines where you can order your drinks. Had a couple of drinks then wandered back to Wynn. We had taken plenty of time over dinner so it was a late-ish nite for this trip. By late I mean about 11pm!!
Wednesday we drove down to MGM for the breakfast buffet (courtesy of myVegas). Very good. I like MGM buffet. At breakfast they have the most amazing tater tots - potato balls with breadcrumbs and spring onion and cheese. Then onto the outlets, back to Wynn and some pool time. Then we went to Rockhouse for our wristbands. Had a glass and a half of wine, then down to Dal Toro for dinner. Very good. Back to Rockhouse with our wristband and had a few more drinks. Great band on so it made it easy for us to stay and enjoy!
Thursday, decided we were going back to the outlets briefly for something and stopped at Palace Station for a 2/1 LVA buffet breakfast on the way. Back to Wynn in the afternoon for some pool time. Evening was Bellagio buffet, with drink bump. 2/1 myVegas deal and paid the drink bump, about $65 total which was a great deal for such a good dinner buffet with unlimited drinks. Had 3 champagnes and a margarita which I took out into the casino. Walked back to Wynn. Had eaten too much so it was a tough walk back :rotfl: Stopped at the slots in Wynn, got a Cadillac Margarita but struggled to drink it so only had half! This is worrying lol.
Friday, up earlyish and over to TI in the car. We wanted to put a case in the car and then move the car (was on the rooftop of the carpark), so we cut across to TI to get a Krispy Kreme and smoothie! Back to Wynn and down to the pool. Quick pack and out for 12. Over to Platinum, and despite our email about early check in we never got in and they said can't guarantee till 4.Got a bad feeling about our room as well while we headed out for some shopping, girl had stated that she could only offer this one room as we needed to be in a hotel owned room and not a privately owned room due to our rate. Turns out our room is fine but it was a bit of a faff and a worry that we were about to get a crap room as we seemed to be well warned there were no other rooms. In it now and it's fine! It's on the same floor as the pool but not beside the pool, so hopefully ok and not noisy.
Heading out shortly to pick up another couple of things for the room, and then driving down to the airport to drop the car, then MGM dinner buffet. Expecting it to be busy so I better get a move on!0 -

Your ID is needed pretty much every time you go to the mlife desk
...otherwise we'd all have multiple accounts (probably)

Thanks for the reminder, we are making a substantial purchase at the Apple store next week using my PO card and it would as sure as I am strangling this ferret have been rejected.
Just rang them up and had it added as a note to my account. :T:T
Hope it works for you
BUT my PO CC has been rejected most times when I get to Vegas despite telling them beforehand.
Strangely though my wifes card linked to the same account usually works0 -

We have had a Post Office CC for a number of years, and when we first started using it in the states,we used to ring up and tell them we were going, and it would be used abroad.
But certainly over the last few trips to either Vegas or Florida we haven't bothered letting them know.....every transaction we have made has always been accepted.
This trip, however,I was planning on upgrading my iPad,so a reasonably expensive purchase....might give them a ring this trip just in case.0 -
secretmachines wrote: »love the Vdara. to be honest, Vdara/Aria might as well be called a strip casino... you're probably in the lobby quicker than some traditional 'strip' hotels. from the front door of the Vdara, you can be stood on the Strip in about 2mins
the citycenter monorail has 2 trains, simultaneously going in opposite directions... takes about 6 mins to do the Bellagio - CityCenter - Monte Carlo trip, so you should never be waiting more than a few minutes
yes we too loved Vdara, think we paid around $700 for 3 nights plus flights from LA for a Vdara suite (via mgm website). Got a free show as well. For $20 got upgraded to a corner suite.
The suite was bigger than my 2 bed flat! I did like being straight out of the hotel when I got downstairs. We mostly walked to Bellagio where friends were staying or Aria for their buffets.

Sitting at LAS waiting for my Southwest flight to Ontario.
A few random thoughts
We moved from Tuscany for our last night at Luxor. Not over impressed . Room was fine (free upgrade to west tower just for asking but everything was a trek. Some kind of fight event happening and after fight party at LAX so I guess the casino crowd isn't usually so rough...maybe.
MGM buffet was good for a MyVEGAS comp but not worth the full price of thirty dollars. Luxor suspended all MyVEGAS comps for this weekend....which wasn't impressive.
Orleans was fun as usual. I think I just don't like mega hotels where you have to trek for miles just to get out of the hotel.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
We always have part of our Vegas stay in the Orleans.
Just the 6 nights there this next trip.
It's not for everyone, but to us it feels like " home" when we are in Vegas.
I wouldn't feel right if we didn't stay for a few nights at the Orleans while we are there. The $8 buffet breakfast sets us up for the day.
Also got a couple of nights at the Luxor.
First hotel we ever stayed at,and this will be the first time we will have been back since then.
To be fair,we are only staying there for two nights because it's through Myvegas.
Also got Main St Station downtown for the weekend..saves messing about with transport by bus or taxi, and we like the cheaper gambling, and triple 7 brew pub.
Finally,we are booked into the Aria...not stayed there before, but assume it's a cut above the other hotels...not that it'll stop us going back to Boyds Orleans and MSS hotels in the future.
4 different hotels in one visit is the most we have done.Hope it isn't to much.0 -

Sounds like you might have been at MGM for dinner too? We went about 7pm after we dropped the car off at the airport, also on a myvegas comp. We're vegetarian and it's one of the better buffets for us. That said I loved the breakfast. The tater tots...mmmm.0 -

I had sent myself an email to remind me to do it as we go in June. Thanks again to the OP (can't remember who).
