I'm not sure what 'total rewards on facebook' is, however there is a separate site called Social Rewards and you can earn points by posting to facebook (you can then hide the posts), and twitter, and watching videos. You can exchange these points into Total Rewards points.

Well the 10pm from Dallas to Heathrow turned into the 1am from Dallas -and yes we were stuck on the plane for those three hours so home a bit later than planned .
This TSA prechek or whatever it is called is awesome (sorry spent the week with American friends so everything is awesome atm) shoes and belts stay on -no removing liquids or laptop from bags -just stick everything on the belt -worked with AA, Delta and SWA for me this trip- made travelling so much easier.
EDIT My partner was getting the updates on the flight delay from AA and tells me it was listed as just below three hours (funny felt like so much longer) AA threw me a few thousand Aadvantage points unasked as an apology (although I may ask for more as the IFE kept messing up) which is pretty good as I currently have no status with them.

glad your back home okay !
Im pretty bad for getting annoyed with queues, let alone any delays, I have zero patients when it coems to things like that, i think i would have went mad(in my head more so!:D)
I have to get started on getitng thse sorta reward cards n what not.I have the travelling bug but am so stuck to where to start with flying cards,I tried to make sense of the virgin atlantic one but i am unsure how it works,.... they give you miles based on what you fly , e.g if you fly 1000 miles with them, do they give you 1000 miles?
.
hope to see a trip report from you soon(hope i ve not missed it!) hope you had fun !0 -

If it were only that simple
Its easier to collect FF miles without flying TBHO
Best to look at Headforpoints re getting Credit cards and the like to start amassing FF points and hotel rewards.
Amex charge cards are good for variety and at the moment the Virgin Blck CC has a promo that gets you 32,000 miles0 -

You've misunderstood the issue-it's not about game redemption it's about player club redemption in Vegas.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Frankly with one trip a year and always looking for the cheapest fares rather than tying yourself to one alliance it probably isn't something to worry about too much at the moment Bobby.
You don't sound like you use creditcards which is the way most people collect the majority of their miles (not me -I don't do creditcards) -If you intend to stick with Virgin then there miles and money fares *may* be useful to you though.
If you collect Tesco points then AVIOS has a link to collect some miles and Nectar points can be used with Expedia either in full or part payment for both flights and hotels. Just some ideas for you.
As for delays.....no point in going mad even in your head. Far better to keep cool and be prepared to react quickly if you need to decide on a change.
I've missed connecting flights before now due to the first flight getting delayed- sometimes it means kicking your heels in an airport for a few hours- or even having to overnight- it's just part of the adventure of travelling.
I've got stuck overnight in New York, missed a flight from Vegas and missed my connection home from NYC as a result, got stranded by a freak blizzard in May in Denver-and had to miss out an entire city when a hurricane was coming up the Eastern Seaboard so changed from an evening flight from Washington to a morning flight from Baltimore -just as well I did as when I landed in Phoenix all airports in the east had closed and stayed closed for two days -so I'd have been stranded.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

And Tesco have announced that they are reducing their points (half I think for clubcard c/card), so you may find it harder to get points to convert to Avios soon too!
I've not had much for free to be honest, we got a flight in May but that was after travelling with US Airways many times and collecting points. I think we earn about 11k points per trip and the flights cost 75k points each, so you can get an idea of how long you might have to collect. As for hotels, due to a load of business travel (8 week block staying at a chain hotel 5 nights each week) got us 4 or 5 free nights in Miami, one night in Flagstaff, and possibly a night elsewhere. Again take a lot of nights to get a free night really and you need to want to stay at those places for it to work.
Of course it's good for folk to be in the know and aware of what's out there, but I think a lot of it is dwindling and you won't get so much for free. MyVegas and Social Rewards however have been quite kind to us so I definitely recommend both of those!0 -
We've booked our flights for next May! We're going for 10 days and starting to look at hotels now. We'd like to stay at the Venetian again as husband says I can't take him to a 5 star hotel one time in Vegas and then a 3 star one the next time...
So I've still got a screen shot of Lesley's post about telling the hotels apart on Priceline Express. I think I've narrowed it down to 2. One is £149 a night and one is £82 a night. Both are 8.0, both have a bed choice. Venetian for the same period is £200 per night on their own site, £184 per night on booking.com
What are people's thoughts?
This is the £149 one:

And this is the £82 one:

I don't know if people can see these links, but I put our dates (check in May
22nd, check out June 1st), filtered down to North Strip and the one at the top is the one I think may be the Venetian. The £82 one is the bottom one.0 -
