Has anyone been to The Rockhouse Bar at the Venetian ?
We are thinking of getting the all day drink deal for $31.
Thing is I am 51 and my wife is mid 40's.
While she looks great for her age,and could easily pass for a lot younger than her 45 years....I look ALL of my hard,stressful 51 years.:rotfl:

The website makes it look as if it's a "younger" persons bar.
It's not like I am trying to "act" like a young one still,we just like the idea of pay once now,and have a few drinks,without constantly digging in your pocket.....tastes better when your not paying.:D

We thought about going in early afternoon for a few,then back again in the evening for a few more...but as I say,don't want stand out like a sore thumb.Our clubbing days in the UK are long over,and after 11 trips to Vegas we have never been in a club there....although the guys on the strip always pester my missus to go to them.....Never ask me though.:(

We did the LV sign the very first time we went to Vegas.OH said lets walk to it it's not that far.........in the 105 degree heat and walking forever I thought I would die before we even got there.
The last time we went was when our son came and I sat in Mandalay playing the slots whilst they tried to walk but ended up taxis there and back.
It's definately worth a visit to have your photo taken with it but you have to wait your turn and there can be loads of people down there taking many,many photos aswell as the customary bride and groom!!

Visiting the sign used to be pain free it was easy to get a pic, now it is always packed solid with queues because of the parking lot. Best to go early in morning if you want avoid the wait to take your pic

We will have a car this trip - don't usually bother but I'm with American friends this time so maybe I'll get there this time ........maybe

We have just booked for next year 29th may to 9th June, almost same as you.
No rooms yet but hope to get most comped
Should be different to our previous trips as our son will be 21 and he can't wait.
Not sure how many trips it is but something like 16

I'm considering Flamingo twin room for trip in December. Have stayed in Signature, Venetian, PH and Vdara previously but just going over with a mate this time and not too bothered.

The difference in price is about 50 dollars a night over a 5 night stay. Hollywood Hip 2 bed v Go 2 bed

Any thoughts ?

Is 1hr 25 mins enough time to layover in Toronto airport? flying both legs with Canadian rouge. Just can't miss the flight and miss work the next day

I really like the Flamingo-it has a nice atmosphere and the location is so central . I'd prefer a Go room to a PH Hollywood Hip room as the Hip rooms are smaller and darker.

If you absolutely *have* to be back at work the next day then 25 mins is too short -have you looked to see if there's a likely flight they'd put you on if you don't make the connection? I'd consider it risky.

My son who is nearly 18 won't come with us again until he is 21, can completely understand why! I hope your son enjoys Vegas as much (surely more!) now he is 21 :beer:, it will be very interesting to read his view of Vegas "before and after".

We are also planning for similar time next year without kids!
