    Hi

Does anybody know if its the norm to get indirect flights? I keep looking for holidays and they all seem to have at least 1 stop?

Looking for direct from Birmingham or Stanstead ideally. Failing that Gatwick or Heathrow.

    Mid September would be ideal

    Thanks
No none flies direct from either BHX of STN. But going indirect can save a bundle of money. From BHX get a cheap Ryanair flight to Dublin, stay over night (my last stay cost me £40).

Then have a look at this http://goo.gl/flights/NGAH
£419 mid september this year. Bargain.
Those dates direct from London are running at over £1,000!!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

You can only get direct flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Gasgow. The Glasgow ones are very limited, Manchester is March -October so the only sure direct flights are from the London airports. We often fly from MAN on indirect flights. We usually go for a reasonable length of time and the few hours extra transit time is nothing in comparison to the savings. Plus we get to stretch our legs half way, get through immigration in another airport, and walk right off towards the cab line when we land.

It works for us doing the one stop, other people don't like it. I hope that helps.
