hi
is it your and your other halfs first time? if so,though if not, i think one thing as maybe a *must* is the welcome to las vegas sign ! (free though:D)
there are loads of shows, though one day/night prehaps you wont manage alot but maybe 1-2 .When we went in june this year i went and saw david copperfield and i just was like wow!(i got the ticket from the tix4tonight booth which offer discounted tickets, for loads of shows on the same day/next day/night)
so it depends on what you like really.
another free thing i feel is a must is the bellagio fountains, always amazing to see i feel
there are some famous stars whom preform in vegas and you never know whom may be preforming,so maybe checking the hotel you are staying at website to see whats on may help? maybe there facebook site too?
anyhow hope this may be of some help, as someone once said so much to do so little time !
enjoy !!:D
It's his second time but my first time.
We're staying at a very non-MSE hotel (the Bellagio) but as it's one night and my birthday, we thought we'd live a little!
Thanks for the tips! Definitely want to check out the Las Vegas sign!0 -

hi
thanks for the feedback, I guess booking early for me,(a bit of a worrier i am) is i try to pay the holiday off by early december and from then til early june whatever i save is spending money !
We did nyc first on our june trip and felt it was good but on the way back(we did vegas second) getitng home was a long trip, so i guess its a loong trip to vegas and a shorter trip getting home.
enjoy you trip !0 -

no worries, as your staying at the Bellagio the fountains would be easy to get to !
As its your birthday i would mention it to the Bellagio, maybe before or at reception and you never know you might get an upgrade/better room,(something?)
The only downside i think for you is its only one night. When we went to vegas for the first time in 2014 we thought it would be a once in a liftime thing but as soon as we got back home we wanted to go again, so you may wanna book up again, IF you had fun, which im sure will be the case!
Just rember to get your esta(theres a link on the first page)
Enjoy your trip though sounds like fun!:T0 -

Hi everyone!
My husband and I are going to Vegas for 1 night from LA. We've already got a hotel on the strip but I wanted any tips for making the most out of 1 day in Vegas! I know it's not very long though but I want to give it my best shot! We'll be there on Sunday the 4th October and we'll get there by midday. We'll be leaving on the 5th at between 12 and 3 most likely.
I've got plenty of research to do based on this thread but if anyone has any tips, please let me know!
Tip 1 Stay longer
Tip 2 If you want to do a show and want to book in advance try Goldstar for discounted tickets (you have very little time so don't waste it queuing on the day at the Tickets Tonight booths). Travelzoo sometimes have good show deals too.
Tip 3 Wear flat shoes !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

well get to it then !!!! (that goes for you too baza52:D)
im green with envy that it seems your off to vegas this month.
When my brother and i did our first trip to vegas in 2014 we thought it would be our first and only trip there, so we drew up a list of things to do and the vegas sign was on the list.
I recall many many pages back, when someone mentioned(lesley prehaps?) that you could walk it but you needed to be very careful. When we did the las vegas sign we got a taxi, he offered to wait and we got the taxi to the stratoshpere.
have a great time!0
