We have just booked for next year 29th may to 9th June, almost same as you.
No rooms yet but hope to get most comped
Should be different to our previous trips as our son will be 21 and he can't wait.
Not sure how many trips it is but something like 16
sounds like fun !
know where you are looking to stay?
My brother and i disucssed the idea of waiting for the Mlife offers, and the chance to get comped, but we were unsure how soon they would do the comps. e.g would they do it earlish , like early feb for a summer time holiday?
In the end , we wanted to know the total cost and what now.
Its great your son will be voer 21. though a bit of advice, make sure he takes id with him! , i would recommened if he drives , he could consider taking his driving licience, easy to carry and no real big deal if you lose it, compared to a passport.
Its been weird for us when we have been twice, im 31 and my brother is 25, i look older than him and i have been asked for id 3 times on 2 trips my brother once in two trips!0 -
I knew I shouldn't have clicked that link... I WANT TO BE THERE NOW!
It's just short of 7am there, the sun's out, looks a lovely light... has anyone invented low cost teleportation yet?!0 -
My son who is nearly 18 won't come with us again until he is 21, can completely understand why! I hope your son enjoys Vegas as much (surely more!) now he is 21 , it will be very interesting to read his view of Vegas "before and after".
We are also planning for similar time next year without kids!
He stopped coming with us about 4 years ago, so it will be very different for him this time around, he will have just finished Uni, he is working part time saving his gambling money at mo0 -

we rarely gamble at MGM properties, our comps are with Boyd and Caesers (total rewards).
Comps are likely to be Orleans.California, and some of the cheaper Caesers properties, although we may push the boat and pay to stay upmarket somewhere for a few days
yep he knows about his ID especially as he only looks about 18 (he has been to Vegas a dozen or so times, first time he was 4) he will use his DL, although I carry my passport with me everywhere in Vegas as I need ID for so much and dont have a photocard0 -

ah no worries !
I ve not looked into the total rewards as of yet and often forget about it!

I know the feeling in wanting to be there. The day or so when we got back from our holiday in june we wanted to go back!
in regards teleportation im not sure !
but in a kind off hand comment, my friend told me the other day about plane which would get to new york in either 2 or two hours, which in theory would mean maybe vegas in 4 hours something!
I think it was airbus whom where toying with the idea and it was in very early developmental stage.
can you imagen having a chance to get to vegas in 4 hours?
(one can surely dream one could afford it)0 -

Has anyone been to The Rockhouse Bar at the Venetian ?
We are thinking of getting the all day drink deal for $31.
Thing is I am 51 and my wife is mid 40's.
While she looks great for her age,and could easily pass for a lot younger than her 45 years....I look ALL of my hard, stressful 51 years.:rotfl:
The website makes it look as if it's a "younger" persons bar.
It's not like I am trying to "act" like a young one still,we just like the idea of pay once now,and have a few drinks, without constantly digging in your pocket.....tastes better when your not paying.:D
We thought about going in early afternoon for a few, then back again in the evening for a few more...but as I say, don't want stand out like a sore thumb. Our clubbing days in the UK are long over, and after 11 trips to Vegas we have never been in a club there....although the guys on the strip always pester my missus to go to them.....Never ask me though.:(
Hope it's not too young, we're both 40 and we've bought the groupon! We've passed the bar before and looked in. I think it should be fine - especially as you sound like you're planning similar to what we are thinking, pop in and pop back later or whatever.0 -
Bit of a crazy one, never been to USA before and just booked a last minute deal! I'm arriving in LAX and heading straight over to vegas in little under a weeks time.
I'm frantically planning and reading as much of the MSE guides on USA/Vegas as possible. I'm trying to play MyVegas to build up some coins but don't think i'll get many to get any good rewards. Is there any top tips from MSE'rs, heard about buying the Voucher Booklet?
Is it worth purchasing, we will be staying in both The Linq & MGM Grand whilst their. Appreciate all the help0 -
Visiting the sign used to be pain free it was easy to get a pic, now it is always packed solid with queues because of the parking lot. Best to go early in morning if you want avoid the wait to take your pic
Yeah we haven't stopped there in years, used to just pull up on the verge
, get out, take pick and drive away. They've ruined it now by putting a flipping parking lot there so every Tom !!!!!! and Harry now has the opportunity to get a photo taken.;)The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
