Mountain biking to Hover Dam in August!!!!:eek::
You do know how hot it is in the DESERT don't you.
Let me give you an average daytime temperature, think upwards of 100 F
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

agree that we would expect Mirage rewards to be cancelled - but we're not looking at any Mirage rewards...it was the Mirage stay that would satisfy the requirement of an MGM property stay to use some other rewards that was more of a concern...and we would probably expect that if Mirage were sold it would no longer satisfy the MGM property stay required on some dining rewards. But Mirage would be our preference for a hotel stay if we knew it would still be within the group during our trip in October.
Ferf, if you're thinking of your October trip, I'm sure it will be fine. I've heard it will take several months for any sale to be finalised. I do hope so, because we are planning on staying there on 24th September.

Just noticed the rewards on Myvegas for The Hippodrome had refreshed.
Just bagged 9 rewards :) Got the chauffer driven car, £100 £50 and £25 in chips. Free fillet steak, £25 restaurant credit, £10 slot play and £10 bar credit and a show for 2 lol.

I have just got a £25 restaurant credit on my account and also on oh's account. Do you think we can use them together or not?

don't see why not. 2 separate accounts and 2 separate rewards :)
Me and Mrs B plan to do the same. Don't forget for most its 2 per person per night.

From what I can gather the freeplay chips for the Hippodrome come in £5 denominations. Each chip can be cashed in for a few pence but if played on a table game are worth the full £5.
If you did a £5 blackjack bet and win you would get a real £5 chip plus your bet stands.
You keep betting with your free chips and collecting the winnings until you run out of free chips. Then you either cash out what you won or keep playing :)

I cant see the Hippodrome rewards staying for too long as I'm sure there are 100s of british players with an excess of LP's to spend.
I got 9 rewards and the wife about 5.
Wont be long before they realise we are walking in to £100 freeplay each with a free meal then possibly going home in profit.

Expect the price in LP's to go up considerably or more restrictive terms added to the rewards.

Grab em while you can :)

EDIT... looks like dinner with owner has already been dropped. I guess he could only eat soo much ;)
Oh and the car for 3 hours.....

Monty Kerr.... We're testing a daily bonus wheel without loyalty for jurisdictions that don't allow (or clearly allow) no-entry-fee sweepstakes. Only UK players should be seeing the wheel without LP.
Monty Kerr : It can be argued that our daily bonus wheel is a game of chance that can award things of real value (loyalty points could be legally construed as having real-world value). That makes it a sweepstakes.

    Ouch.

thank you!! Yes, it is October we are thinking of. We really liked the pool area at Mirage when we last stayed there (were less impressed with MC) and thought it would be nice to take the in-laws to the Mirage pool as well as serving as the MGM property stay to allow us to use some of the MV dining rewards.

if you need a fridge for medical reasons then they normally do not charge. We have also had luck with a $10 tip for housekeeping on our first morning and a note asking for a fridge, though sometimes it has not worked. Not sure on the current price, it seems like it used to be $10-15/night or so many places.
