We now have some times from Linq (high roller end) to the off strip hotels back here:-

High roller to Westin - 6 mins
High roller to Platinum - 10 mins
High roller to Tuscany - 12 mins

We were unlucky at the lights at Platinum, but we walked pretty fast other than that.

We can get from Platinum to Cromwell walking in heels (Tracy not me) in 8 minutes at a stroll. I really can't understand people insisting staying on the strip when there are better, cheaper, and roomier hotels off strip that you can get to and from sometimes quicker than if you were staying on LVB.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Bahama Breeze happy hour can be found online, but if necessary I have a photo of it, and one of Grand Lux which was good too :)

We always make a trip to Bahama Breeze. Their happy hour half price bar snacks and drink specials are good value. And of course if you didn't want the wait for a table at PlanetHo there is a very convenient PF Changs on the opposite corner near enough.

    hi
on a similar topic when we went to vegas last july it rained for a good 5mins or so and my brother and i were like what the heck, VEGAS-RAIN-IN JULY?

On the last day of our recent trip it rained all day. It was really interesting to see. Outside was empty and almost gloomy looking, but inside everywhere was absolutely buzzing (middle of the afternoon and most people were drinking and gambling).

Lol, we believe you (about the heels).

Unfortunately we're still a bit undecided re Tuscany/Platinum for September. Tuscany is definitely a good shout, but on the day it was sunny there wasn't a single available lounger by the pool, and that would kill it for me I'm afraid. We didn't have to worry about it though, had already sunbathed that morning, and then the next day it was cloudy (well rainy), then home.

8 mins seems a bit short, but perhaps you mean from Bally's and were luckier with the crosswalk than we were. Some hotels it takes a good 5 mins to get to your room anyway so I do agree.

At Philly airport now. Wine at Vino Volo as we have a bit of a wait here.

Yes, have to say the Casinos were busy! And it was bizarrely warmer when you came indoors, like how it is at home haha. Normally in Vegas when you go indoors you prepare to freeze! Seems the cold snap is over damn. I have the worst tan ever (even by peely wally Scottish standards!). Think we made it to the pool 4 times in 10 days (twice at Luxor, twice at Westin Lake Las Vegas!).
