Have had a sleepless night with a noisy neighbour upstairs. I dread to think what they were doing...they sounded like they were stomping about the room for hours. At first we thought it was someone with an early flight but it went on for too long for it to be someone up early and checking out. This was from 3am to 530am. I eventually dozed back off but had set the clock for 7am to do our online checkin. Managed to get the pair of seats near the front (the only pair on the plane, it's all 3's).
You should have phoned the front desk/customer services and they would have sorted it for you.

Thing is, if you're like me, you give them a bit of time to settle down, and before you know it, it's been going on for ages.

It's really annoying. Stopped between 530 and about 9 so they must have got some sleep. I'm wondering how they are managing to make so much noise. They're getting lots of exercise anyway whatever they're doing! It's worrying that it's still so noisy just now though, I have a horrible feeling they're not checking out today and the noise may continue tonight.

Just to note guys & gals....
I got a feeling the dollar gonna tumble a little, at the mo, u can say get $1.55 to the £
I think within days, it will settle on $1.52 , or down to $1.50 ......
I might be wrong, but from reading daily and tracking over past 7 weeks, just my assumption.... :)

Hope it stays at 1.55 till Wednesday till I get paid!!

The groupon discount comes on from time to time and is displayed on their main page. I usually get an email when there's offers on. Just checked my email, last offer was 28th April. If I notice an offer coming through I'll post it on here. Might not notice just now though with being away. Others can maybe do the same. I always look out for a %off deail before buying groupons. We got a couple of hotel deals on there as well (the one we're in just now, and also got Green Valley Ranch at a fab price for September).

Are you staying overnight at Palm Springs and Laughlin? If you have time at Laughlin look up Oatman as it's quite near and it's a fun place to visit.

Managed to buy the go San Diego card yesterday with the 15% discount on groupon, so thanks for the tip!!

I'm in DC and got 1.58 on my Halifax clarity card yesterday.
Fly to Vegas Saturday. Can't wait. Ended up booking Prime for our anniversary dinner on Sunday.

Decided to go and mention to front desk. They offered to move us up to 3rd floor, but we're sort of facing the East carpark now and the plane noise was significant earlier, although admittedly not so bad now. Will see how this goes.

On a sad note, it rained today. Honestly, rain!! And we went to Rio Buffet, in a taxi due to the rain, and they said the bar was closed. Bar closed in Vegas? Ever heard of that? Saved us from ourselves haha. Palazzo (Drinks 2U machines :)) then Grand Lux (had mini pizza to keep us going), then down to Carnival Court.

We now have some times from Linq (high roller end) to the off strip hotels back here:-

High roller to Westin - 6 mins
High roller to Platinum - 10 mins
High roller to Tuscany - 12 mins

We were unlucky at the lights at Platinum, but we walked pretty fast other than that.

Bahama Breeze happy hour can be found online, but if necessary I have a photo of it, and one of Grand Lux which was good too :)

In the end we did Zoo, USS Midway, Flagship cruise, Safari Park. I really enjoyed the USS Midway despite it being more hubby's thing I thought it was really interesting (surprisingly!). San Diego was chilly. Actually Vegas has been chilly too, feels quite weird, we're so used to it being super hot when we come. And we've only had 3 nights at Luxor, then 2 at Westin Lake Las Vegas (far out although very nice), and 2 nights Tuscany, so it doesn't feel like a long 'Vegas' trip for us. Still feels like weeks ago when we arrived in San Diego 9 days ago though1

Did you manage to fit that all into 2 days in San Diego Lesley74? What was the safari park like? At the moment we are planning the zoo, seaworld and USS Midway.
