Morning everyone. What a glum Monday for me. My 14 day letter was answered by NatWest two and a half weeks ago, telling me that due to the volume of requests it would require another 6-7 weeks to 'look into' my claim! That letter went astray. I phoned NatWest customer service today who told me they cannot send out a duplicate because of the court case pending. Can anyone give me some advice? For instance should I just continue to the next stage to keep the 'ball in the air' so to speak? My son is also reclaiming but has only just sent off Letter 2? Any advice for him? I'm certainly going to note the date in my diary so that I can add the additional interest incurred by this delaying tactic.
I wonder Martin if you could draft a letter for us to send to the Banks concerning the additional interest being incurred on our money during this period and all the other implications this has for us, so that our files show continuity and that they are still active. I trust them even less than I did before now - and that wasn't much!
Good luck everyone, and thank you Martin for keeping to the point on the TV Interview. I don't think Martin had anything to do with her looking silly and inept. She did all that perfectly well by herself!
It's reassuring to be living in a Democratic Society isnt it? Not!0 -
Pat - I am in stupid question mode at the moment but if the 14 days has expired why are you waiting for the 6 to 7 week period to expire and not just issuing as you are unlikely to get a response now probaly this side of christmas? As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0

Its insane - how can the fsa possibly think that suspending all pending claims could be the best course of action!! It would be interesting to know which consumers they actually consulted about this!0

I couldn't agree more.
It is unbelievable that our claims will be suspended yet the banks can carry on charging in the meantime.
I can't write anymore at the moment as I'm just too mad..
If it wasn't for this and the CAG website I don't think I could cope!0
