 Eeek! My office is a lot more laid-back. Footwear rules are limited to No FlipFlops or Bare Feet - I am NOT making that up.:D
I wear H0tter or Ecc0 black flats because I'm boring and because my foot doctor said no heels above 1 inch and must be lace-ups on account of the orthotics.
Do you have a Brantan0 anywhere near you? They have lots of different brands and may be a place to go try on some stuff and see what suits?
I wish ours was that laid back, until 3 year ago the men had to wear ties even in the summer, it was only if it got exceptionally warm would they send a memo out saying they could take their ties off for the day!
However, we have new bosses now and they've conceded that men no longer need to wear ties, but then took our dress down Friday's off us :rotfl:
I was about to say there's no brantano near me but having checked their website there's a store 10 mins away...how did I not know this?? My town is quite small :rotfl:0 -

I've looked on Clarks website and there are some nice ones, always forget about hush puppies ...off to have a look now
Thanks!0 -

I did have a shufti on their website before suggesting it, and they seem to have stores all over the place.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hiya
Ech!o are not cheap - £60 for the more boring pairs. However both this summer and last winter they have glammed up a lot (but still same quality - boots I bought last year still OK for this winter!) They fit really well and the sizes are what they say they are. I have had them for over 20 odd years and each pair lasts about 2 years but please remember - I wear them every day - except when it is too hot. Have also had jobs where I am on my feet a lot. I have arthritis in my feet so I need really good shoes - but loads of folk asked me where I got my glam boots last year. Even when on benefits this was my one big expenditure on me. I needed to be able to walk to save petrol! :rotfl:
Today I got a lot more done - all walls washed ad ready to paint!!! Was the interrupted by friends and helping out someone who could not carry out their voluntary work because they got ill! Guess who did it instead!yep, me!
NSD today! NBI - did not give in to temptation to buy on net when given a special offer!!!

Hello everyone
Was a bit awl lately, due to holidays and all that jazz. September didn't started too well spendwise, ended up in the bookshop on Wednesday and splashed out on four books, but still had a voucher which was a christmas present, so not all that bad, but still. Plus there is a book which I ordered online as well and a DVD currently on the way to me....
But will now try to stay on track for the rest of September to make it a saving month. But plan to splash out a chunck of money on a yearly membership for the swimming pool, really got back into swimming mojo and will have to try and keep it up. WIll try to go on Saturday morning and on Sundays where I don't have plans in the morning.
re shoes; for those who need more elegant shoes for work, CIarks have really nice one. I have a pair with 6cm heels and can even run in them.
Tomorrow I will make vegetarian lasagne. Actually wanted to put some olives into the sauce to get something mroe than just veggies in it, but the only olives I like are sold out, so got a can of baked beans instead and will try how they work.
Have a nice Sunday everyone!Fashion on the Ration 2022: 5/66 coupons used: yarn for summer top 5 /

Morning
I'm hoping to be able to go shoe shopping soon, I remembered I have reward points with energy supplier which I can turn into tesco points or a high street voucher.....HS voucher can be used in Clarks and Brantano...I had enough points for a £20 voucher :T
I went with a friend to Costco last night, haven't been for 4 years as no transport......I was good and only spent £35 and used a calculator to make sure what I was bought was actually cheaper than elsewhere.0 -
Morning all.
I haven't been buying anything other that a few £££ of food and a 50p preserving jar this month but my leccy toothbrush has died, so I will be shopping around to replace that. Anyone know if the present Tosspots swopsie thing is still going and includes small electricals like that? Haven't a lot of vouchers but might be able to part-pay for one, if so.
Other than that, am planning to keep my purse firmly closed.:cool:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
