candygirl sorry to hear you have been poorly. Hopefully now you have a diagnosis you can work towards feeling better

Another James Martin fan here. I love all his programmes and I so would love his kitchen, garden and dogs

Still we are working on it. We had the dream kitchen put in two years ago and this year we have a huge veg plot. Managed to get the early spuds, carrots and parsnips, and onions planted out and have the toms and courgettes starting off in the "glass house". We call it that, it's just an addition to the back of the garage hubby built using the windows we had replaced. Still it's somewhere we can get plants started and somewhere we can store the more delicate plants through the winters

Like everyone else I finally got a couple of washes out on the line on Tuesday. Glorious day. Since then we have had storms and last night temps dropped low enough that the gritters were out. Luckily we got rain and not more snow

Spent some money on myself this week. Two new jumpers. I've lost so much weight with having dental problems that my clothes are hanging and I look more of a mess then usual Was great having to go a size smaller, but a pain as it seems it's a popular size and there wasn't as many colour choices. Still it means the wardrobe of summery clothes I have which have been too tight the past two years should be fitting me :j

Anyways today we have another spends day. Lunch out as we have to go see about a job for hubby and I have to be in work for 4. Then a pub quiz tonight for the local road races. Can't duck it as it's where I work and I'm doing the buffet at half time. Will be an expensive night as fund raisers tend to be but will be good fun

    Stay safe everyone x

What a beautiful day for a birthday, Vulpix.

My NBI may be more of a positive choice over the next few weeks as my OH's mum has not been recovering particularly well from a hip replacement. We had an assessment today and the physio was very helpful. I have come up with a cunning plan!

I am going to go round twice a day and do her exercises with her as well as taking her out each day for a walk (with a purpose). She has never been ill and now at 80 is finding it hard to be restricted and wants to rush everything. So I have lied and said she would be doing me a favour if she put up with me exercising alongside her so I can get better - and she had agreed - as long as it is her helping me, she is fine with that. All my no car days will now disappear unfortunately but if we can get her fitter and more mobile, it will be worth it.

Treated us to 40 pansies and violas today and am now off to plant them out - it truly is a beautiful day.
Don't get it perfect - Get it going

Happy Birthday Vulpix Hope you had a great day.

Another NSD today as I am at home with DD who is still poorly and not eating properly. She has agreed to try scrambled egg later.

Dinner was found in the freezer. Will have to shop tomorrow. Have a cheque to pay into Bank account.

Off to cook some dinner now.

NSD here been pottering around the net :)

Don`t need anything so NBI and still plenty in fridge and freezer. Will be putting few bits on e@ay later and hopefully add to the holiday fund.
Still de-cluttering with another bag of books for cs - am@zon don`t want them lol.
Had to go to app this morning re hearing and need hearing aids. Not going to buy them privately they are so expensive. Dear old NHS ones will do me fine.
Going to watch the chase now, can`t stand daytime TV but once 5pm comes I do put telly on.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

    Hi all,

I spent money today...I needed cake.

I also had a spendy day yesterday, bought some food at M&S since I was in town, and a few cheap nightdresses from primark for my hospital bag. I was at the hospital too, so had to pay for parking there. I've still been decluttering and not really spending unnecessarily on junk. My savings have been looking quite healthy and I'm delighted about it!

Happy birthday vulpix! Enjoy your day xx
