    Happy Birthday vulpix

weesmiler If you need cake, then you need cake, and that's all there is to it :D

I thought today was going to be a NSD, until I went to give the cat his anti-flea stuff and realised I'd used it all up  I'd thought there was one pipette left. Goodness knows why on earth I put an empty pack back in the box!

So had to get some more from the vet's, but have also paid for a prescription which I'll pick up tomorrow, then I can get it on the 'net next time.

Happy birthday Vulpix.....my elder nephew is 38 today, seems like 5 minutes since he was born.

Spent €50 this morning on physiotherapy....essential spend, not sure it was the same with the €101 I spent in Lidl, now that I think about it OH owes me about €13 of that as I dont buy wine from grocery budget and he had 2 bottles...still horrified at the spend but will be keeping my purse tightly closed for as long as possible.

  • Not been spending anything today - I've been having fun with my new craft purchase. Definitely the best one I made since my die cutting machine. I've also been working on the final page of the starry night cross stitch. These tasks are definitely good for my no spending! So far I've made 7 birthday presents, read 43 books, finished three quarters of a cross stitch, started on christmas presents and most importantly, saved over a grand! I get a bonus in a couple of weeks too, but at the moment I have no idea what, if anything, I'm going to do with it!

Oh shipmates Thank you for Birthday wishes,I really am touched but a few of you may have suspected that already!

We went out for a meal tonight, not huge portions but I am full up.We could have gone for a drink afterwards but couldn't be bothered and came home for a brew.

I have had an email from my cousin who was at the funeral yesterday.I hope we keep in touch more. There is nothing like a funeral to make you realize you should make more effort with people.

My friend called round with a little gift on her way home from work.We have been friends 45 years. We are still as silly together as we were when we started High school aged 11.

Went to Aldee this afternoon, spent £40 this includes lamb etc for Mothers day meal and a few more bits for Easter.

I am so pleased to have virtually met you all,I love this thread.

Good morning chums, bright and sunny here in Kent. History club this afternoon and we have the Battle of Trafalgar and Nelson.

Just checked my emails and the library have said my book I ordered is in so I'll pick that up on my way.

Nothing to buy today ,yesterday I did some baking and made a victoria sponge for my DGS and a cherry and sultana cake for my cake tin.
I have had to put on my list for shopping a bottle of vanilla essence as I have used it all up so that will be a chunk to buy as its around £5-6 but it does last a long while.

Still, until I have enough things to buy on my list I shall just make different cakes without it :):):) adjust and adapt will be my motto.
I am determined to get the cupboards a little emptier over the next few weeks.
When checking yesterday I seem to have accrued 4 packets of mixed dried fruit !!! and god knows how many packets of currants and sultanas so a few fruit cakes will be baked with perhaps some rock cakes for the boys or fruit scones.
Luckily my DGS can eat their weght in cakes and buns and are quite sporty so are always running around.
I am going to have a sort out of the 'trash' drawers in the kitchen, you know the ones where you open a drawer and just chuck stuff in. I have three of those that really need decluttering badly, one of which will hardly open its so full of junk :):):)
Hope you all have a good day what ever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xxx

Had a couple of breakthroughs this week! :j

Finally managed to buy a replacement blender, (not without its problems...) at first I got a cheapy supermarket one but after unwrapping it I only then realised that the end didn't come off for cleaning. Didn't like that so it were back in the box. Back to square one. Then yesterday I found JL had a branded one on sale for a mere £2 more, the end detaches and it comes with a beaker :) Just shows I should have done my research as I usually do instead of jumping in with both feet in impatience!

Secondly, we have finally made a mortgage overpayment! It's only taken two years  I spoke to the providers to ensure it would decrease the term instead of the payment which was easy to do. Hoping to keep this going on an at least monthly basis, I've got to work out the finer details yet, but I do know I want to make a spreadsheet :D

3 out of 5 NSDs this week so far, the other day I purchased a MD card and a little kitchen items I'd been monitoring.. Gone up to around a fiver on amazon but found for 2.50 in asdas.

This weekend we have a couple of things on so £££ will be spent but shouldn't be too much, good job really as we have a weekend away coming up :o, but all budgeted for so I'm not worried about paying for it in the slightest... A lovely feeling....

A Belated happy birthday VULPIX :)
I'm still being quite good on the NBI front, and even managed to keep my shopping under £30 at ALD1 n that included a really cute flower arrangement for Mother's day:j
Went out for an Indian last night, n was very disappointed with my veggie balti! The potatoes had hardly been chopped, n there wasn't enough sauce :(Think we'll stick to our usual place in future:D
